Mounting and Safety Information
The DALI ECO BT RTC control unit is designed exclusively for luminaire integration. Independent installation, such as ceiling integration, is possible using the ECO CI KIT (Art. Nr. 4008321392091).
Recommended Cable Types for Independent Mounting:
- DALI + mains voltage: 1x NYM 5x1.5mm² or 1 x H05VV 5x1.5mm².
- External push button: 1x NYM 3x1.5mm² or 1 x H05VV 3x1.5mm².
Important Safety Notes:
- The push button and DALI interfaces provide basic electrical insulation. Connecting to external voltage, especially mains voltage, will destroy the unit.
- Presence or daylight-dependent operation requires connection to an OSRAM DALI sensor. Please contact your local sales representative for an overview of OSRAM DALI sensors.
- Do not place mains voltage or LED supply wires within or close to the indicated area.
- Ensure recommended minimal distance to metal parts.
- Proper placement of the integrated radio transmitter antenna is advised for correct radio connectivity.
- Install the 820 Ω / 5% / 1/4W resistance only inside the luminaire.
- The controller can be abutted against normally flammable materials, including building insulation, and can be covered in normal use. Building elements, building insulation, or debris have restricted access to the heated parts of the controller.
Wiring Information
The wiring diagram illustrates the connections for the DALI ECO BT RTC control unit:
- Mains Connection: Terminals for L, N, and PE (Protective Earth) for the 220-240V AC power supply.
- DALI Interface: DA- and DA+ terminals for connecting to DALI devices.
- Push Button Interface: Terminals PB1 and PB2 for connecting external push buttons.
- Resistor Installation: A 820 Ω / 5% / 1/4W resistor is shown to be installed in series with the DA+ line, within the luminaire.
- System Connections: The diagram shows connections to a DALI ECG, an OSRAM DALI Sensor, and an OSRAM DALI Push button coupler.
- Wire Preparation: Recommended wire preparation and minimum spacing of >1 cm between wires are indicated.
