Setting Up Your Freezer

Before Using Your Freezer

• Remove exterior and interior packing.
• Let the freezer stand upright for approximately two hours before connecting to power.
• Wipe the inside.
• When moving, do not tilt beyond 45° from upright.

Finding a Suitable Location

• Freezer is designed for free-standing use only.
• Place on a floor strong enough to support the fully loaded freezer.
• Allow 7.9 inches (20 cm) space between freezer sides and walls.
• Allow 3.9 inches (10 cm) between the back and the wall.
• Allow 11.8 inches (30 cm) between the top and the ceiling.
• Ensure sufficient space on the hinge side for the door to swing open.
• Locate away from direct sunlight and heat sources (stove, heater, radiator).
• Avoid moist areas.

Leveling Your Freezer

• Rotate leveling feet clockwise (raise) or counter-clockwise (lower).
• The front should be slightly higher than the back.

Installing the Door Handle

1. Unplug the freezer.
2. Screw extended-head screws into door holes with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not overtighten.
3. Loosen hex screws on the handle with the hex wrench so the handle fits over the extended head screws.
4. Place the door handle over the screw heads and tighten the hex screws.

Using Your Freezer

1. Plug in your freezer. Wait 30 minutes, then open the door to check if it is working.
2. Press and hold the Lock button for three seconds, then use '+' or '-' to set the temperature. A beep sounds at maximum/minimum temperatures.

Using the Lock Button

The control panel locks automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity. Press and hold the Lock button for three seconds to use the control panel.

Switching Between Freezer and Refrigerator Modes

This freezer can be converted from a freezer to a refrigerator.

Using the control panel:

1. Press and hold the Lock button for three seconds.
2. Press and hold the Freezer/Fridge button for three seconds. The panel beeps, and the indicator changes.

Quick Freezing Foods

The quick freeze mode lowers the temperature below normal operating temperature to quickly freeze foods.

Using the control panel:

1. Press and hold Lock for three seconds.
2. Press the Quick Freeze button. The blue snowflake turns on.

The quick freeze mode turns off automatically after three hours if the temperature falls below -13° F (-25° C), or after 24 hours if the temperature does not fall below -13° F (-25° C). Press the button again to exit quick freeze mode.

Switching Between Fahrenheit and Celsius

Using the control panel:

1. Press and hold Lock for three seconds to unlock.
2. Press and hold '+' and '-' for three seconds to switch settings.

Grounding Requirement

This freezer must be grounded. Use a properly installed and grounded outlet. Improper use of the grounding plug can result in electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if grounding instructions are not understood.
