Why the product is recalled: A stud located on the upper shift shaft arm on above models may corrode if the engine is used in Saltwater. If that happens, there may be a loss of shift function.
Hazard: Potential loss of shift control of the boat's propulsion system. 1. Consumers with affected products should contact their Mercury
Dealer to arrange for a rectification to be performed and return engine to dealer every 100 hours for regreasing. 2. Consumers should not use their boat until the rectification has been performed. 3. Send us an email or phone us if you are unable to return the product or have sold to another person
