3 Configuring
You can configure the router using the WebUI Settings page.
- Launch your internet browser and enter http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
- Enter the default password, which is typically 'admin', to log in to the web management page. The default IP address and password can also be found on the label on the back of the router.
It is strongly recommended to change the default login password to prevent unauthorized access to the router's settings.
4 Connect to WiFi Network
You can connect your computer or mobile phone to the router's Wi-Fi network. Refer to the label on the back of the router for the default wireless network name (SSID) and Wi-Fi Password.
It is strongly recommended to change the default SSID and password via the WebUI Wi-Fi management page to prevent unauthorized access to your Wi-Fi network. You will need to reconnect to the router's Wi-Fi network after changing the Wi-Fi password.
5 Access the internet through the WAN port
Connect the router's WAN port to the wall-mounted Ethernet port using an Ethernet cable. Then, select the working mode as Broadband mode and configure the PPPoE/Static/DHCP parameters to access the internet.
6 VOLTE & CS Domain Voice Call
The Horizon router supports both VOLTE and CS domain voice call services. To change the call mode, navigate to Settings > Phone and select the desired option from the dropdown menu. For optimal results, the "Auto" setting for network mode is recommended.
7 FAQS & Troubleshooting
Resetting the Router
The "Reset" button, located on the back of the unit, is used in rare cases when the router may function improperly. Resetting the router will restore its normal operation while maintaining programmed settings.
To restore the router to its factory default settings, press and hold the "Reset" button for at least 5 seconds, then release it. The router's lights will flash momentarily, and the "Router" light will begin to blink. The restore process is complete when the "Router" light becomes solid again.
Using the WPS Button
- Start the WPS Push Button Connection (WPS PBC) on your computer or other Wi-Fi device that you wish to connect wirelessly to your Router. Look for a "WPS," "PBC," or "Security" button on the device itself or within its software.
- Within two minutes, press and hold the WPS button on your Router for two seconds.
You can repeat this process for each WPS-enabled device you want to add to your network.
Connectivity Issues
- Ensure your SIM card is inserted correctly and has an active data plan.
- Wireless technology is radio-based; connectivity and throughput performance decrease as the distance between devices increases.
- Obstructions like walls and metal appliances can cause signal degradation. Connection speed may also decrease as you move farther away from the router.
- To determine if wireless issues are related to range, temporarily move your computer within 10 feet of the router.
- Changing the wireless channel can improve performance and reliability, depending on local wireless traffic and interference.
