Product Description

This document provides instructions for the Menuett 009986 retractable clothesline.

Components:

• 1. Wall
• 2. Expander plug
• 3. Long screw
• 4. Short screw
• 5. Screw hook
• 6. Drum lock / Line bar

Assembly and Operation

Mounting

1. Mark the position for the fastener and screw it to the wall.
2. Drill the right mounting hole, insert an expander plug, and screw the line drum to the wall with the long screw. Drill mounting holes for the line bar at the same height as the line drum, and insert expander plugs and screw hooks. 3. Release the line drum by pulling the drum lock from the side. Turn the line drum clockwise to unwind the lines and anticlockwise to rewind them. Lock by pressing the drum lock back in. [Diagram 2: Shows how to release the drum lock, rotate the drum to extend or retract the lines, and then re-engage the lock.]
4. Pull the line bar out and hook it onto the screw hooks in the wall opposite the line drum. [Diagram 3: Depicts pulling the line bar and securing it to the wall-mounted screw hooks.]
5. Turn the line drum anticlockwise to stretch the line, and then press in the drum lock. After use, release the drum lock, lift off the line bar from the hooks, and rewind the lines back into the line drum. Keep your hands and fingers out of the way – the automatic rewinding is very quick.
