No or Intermittent 3rd party Device Control · Verify that the RS-232 cables are properly terminated. Troubleshooting Tips · WyreStorm recommends using a cable tester or connecting the cable to other devices to verify functionality. Read through this section in its entirety before running or terminating any wires to ensure proper operation and to avoid damaging the equipment. IMPORTANT! Wiring Guidelines · The use of patch panels, wall plates, cable transmitters, kinks in cables, and electrical or environmental interference will have an adverse effect on signal transmission which may limit performance. Steps should be taken to minimize or remove these factors completely during installation for best results. · WyreStorm recommends using pre-terminated HDMI cables due to the complexity of these connector types. Using pre-terminated cables will ensure that these connections are accurate and will not interfere with the performance of the product. Note: HDMI signal transmission distance can be increased to up to 50m/ 164ft by using WyreStorm's Hybrid Active Optical cables. Communication Connections 3-Pin Analog Audio WyreStorm Connector 3rd Party Device Pin 1 L (Left Signal) ---> To ---> Left Signal (L+) Pin 2 G (Ground) ---> To ---> L-/R- (Grounds) Pin 3 R (Right Signal) ---> To ---> Right Signal (R+) RS-232 Wiring The SP-0108-SCL uses a 3-pin RS-232 with no hardware flow control. Most control systems and computers are DTE where pin 2 is RX, this can vary from device to device. Refer to the documentation for the connected device for pin functionally to ensure that the correct connections can be made. The DIP Switch settings and the corresponding functions are as follows: EDID Copy mode (Default) Fixed EDID: 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 7.1CH with HDR Descriptions Default: Copy output 1. Users can use EDID COPY buttons or API commands to copy EDID of the displays connected with any output port in this mode. Support HLG and HDR10; Support PCM 2.0/5.1/7.1, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS:X. EDID Fixed EDID: 1080P@60Hz 5.1CH Fixed EDID: 1080P@60Hz 2.0CH Descriptions Support PCM 2.0/5.1, Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1. Support PCM 2.0 only. Fixed EDID: 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 5.1CH with HDR Support HLG and HDR10; Support PCM 2.0/5.1, Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1. Downscaler Settings Downscaler dipswitches 1-8 correspond to HDMI outputs 1-8 respectively. Up Position: The down scaler of the corresponding output is off. Down Position: The down scaler of the corresponding output is on (default).
