The Proteor Quattro is a microprocessor-controlled prosthetic knee designed to enhance mobility and provide a natural gait for users.

Get Started
Wake the Knee
The QUATTRO knee ships in Storage Mode. It will not function until plugged into a power supply.
- Insert the cable or charged booster battery pack into the charger port.
- Plug the charger into a power source.
Important Notes:
- Do not leave the knee unattended, as the battery will discharge when idle.
- To save battery life, place the knee in Storage Mode by pressing and holding both the Change Mode and Wireless buttons until they flash red, white, and blue.
- Ensure you have the proper power source to wake the knee before putting it into Storage Mode.
Setup Process
Configuration
Access the main menu on the GaitLab app.
Calibration
Follow the on-screen prompts for calibration. This typically involves:
- Full setup
- Calibrate
- Static Alignment
- Sensor calibration
- Dead battery demonstration
Alignment
Bench Alignment:
- Ensure the lateral alignment of the socket and the knee is correct.
- The knee should be positioned 0-10 mm anterior to the posterior aspect of the socket.
- The flexion angle limiter should be set to the desired range.
Static Alignment:
- The alignment of the prosthetic knee should be checked in a standing position.
- Ensure the knee is perpendicular to the ground and aligned with the patient's anatomical landmarks.
Adjustments
The app allows for fine-tuning of various resistance parameters:
- Sitting Resistance: Adjusts the resistance when the patient is seated.
- Heel Rise Resistance: Controls the resistance during heel rise.
- Swing Extension Resistance: Manages resistance during the swing phase.
- Stance Extension Resistance: Manages resistance during the stance phase.
- Stair and Ramp Resistance: Provides independent resistance for stable stair and ramp descent.
- Obstacle Assist: Provides assistance when encountering obstacles.
Note: Adjustments for Stair and Ramp resistance and Obstacle Assist are only available when the knee is in the appropriate mode (e.g., walking for Stair and Ramp resistance).
Demonstration
When the Flexion Lock is engaged, it blocks flexion but allows ratcheting up to full extension.
Perform resistance adjustments using a fully discharged battery.
Permissions
Configure user permissions within the app, such as allowing the patient to make adjustments or enable/disable the Flexion Lock.
Setup Complete
Once all steps are completed, the setup is finished, and the patient can begin using the Quattro knee.
