Cloud Management for Private Environments
Overview
The LANCOM LMC Private Appliance is the ideal solution for businesses that require enterprise-level security standards for their private cloud but still want the functionality and convenience of the LANCOM Management Cloud. This solution enables the operation of the LANCOM Management Cloud without shared infrastructure in your own data centers or "on premises". The solution package includes a redundantly designed hardware appliance, an installation service, and software maintenance by LANCOM Systems.

Product Variants
Private Cloud (Appliance): A variant operated by the LANCOM customer or their system house, based on the LANCOM LMC Private Appliance. Environment requirements: Internet access (for maps, alerting, and redirect).
Scope of Services - Network Management
SD-WAN
Automatic networking of locations via VPN, including network virtualization over the wide area network.
SD-LAN
Convenient configuration and graphical assignment of networks to switch ports with automatic, end-to-end VLAN switching.
SD-WLAN
Automatic configuration of all access points and WLAN routers, including Multi-SSID, Active Radio Control (Band Steering, Adaptive RF Optimization), Fast Roaming, VLAN, and authentication.
Firmware Management
Central distribution of firmware versions to individual, multiple, or all devices.
WLAN Hotspot
Convenient setup of a simple hotspot.

Project Dashboard WLAN / LAN
Aggregated monitoring information about locations, floor plans, devices, error status, clients, and applications (Layer 7) of a project.

Project Dashboard Security & Compliance
Clear overview of all VPN connections, including status (active / inactive).

Convenient overview of all projects, location-dependent placement of projects on a map, short status of devices indicated by color.
Individual Device Monitoring
Filter or sort devices by criteria such as device type, serial number, firmware version, and configuration status, etc.

Detailed logging of configuration changes and error states at project and device level.

Zero-touch Deployment
Access points and switches are automatically recognized and added to management by the LANCOM Management Cloud during network integration. Routers and gateways generally need to have their internet access pre-configured, for example using the LANCOM Setup Wizards, or be connected via Ethernet-WAN or LAN port to a network with DHCP and internet access (operation behind a network termination device or with existing internet access).
Easy Port Config
Enables easy configuration rollout for all switches at a location. Using individual device monitoring of the switch, the desired networks and settings can be configured for each port individually. A graphical representation of the ports provides maximum transparency and easy user guidance.
Scripting
Self-expansion of the system through freely definable LCOS scripts that can be activated at device, location, and network level, thus offering automated full access to all device parameters. Scripts can access self-defined system variables and include input masks for user-defined values.
Scripting is available upon request for system administrators; the resulting GUI elements are then available at the user level.
Auto-Configuration
Automatic configuration assignment for new devices added to a location.
Individual Device Configuration
Complete, detailed configuration of all parameters of individual devices.
LMC Config Sync
Local adjustments at the individual device level are either automatically adopted, detected and logged by the LMC, or immediately reset on the device, as desired.
Password Management
Central management of all device passwords.
Flexible Device Handling
Devices can be freely moved between organizations and projects.

Projects
Area for creating and managing multiple, independent customer projects.
Roles and Permissions
Support for different roles for users in organizations and projects:
- Organization Administrator (cross-project, all rights)
- Project Administrator (all rights within a project)
- Project Member (rights for network, location, and device management and monitoring within a project)
- Project Observer (read-only rights within a project)
Users can also be temporarily activated or deactivated by administrators. Any number of users can be added per project. Users can be active in multiple projects.
Organization
Area for resellers, system houses, and system integrators for project management, any number of projects per organization.
Key Features:
- Live project status as a map view.
- Device pool from which devices can be moved to projects.
- Freely definable fields for organization and project properties, e.g., for customer number, contact person, etc.

For administrators of registered LANCOM partners, a live chat function is available with direct access to LANCOM Cloud experts for all questions regarding the LANCOM Management Cloud; available weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Info Area
Central info area with all resources for the LANCOM Management Cloud, such as system status, video tutorials, guided tours, FAQs, system requirements, and scenarios.

Recommended Installation Location
To ensure optimal cooling of the system, it is recommended to operate the server in an air-conditioned server room in a designated rack. Due to the high noise level, the server is not suitable for use in offices.

Cloud Starter License
Automatic 30-day commissioning license for all devices newly added to the LANCOM Management Cloud for all registered LANCOM retail and system house partners; after the 30 days expire, devices cannot be configured by the LMC without a valid license but remain fully functional autonomously and are monitored by the LMC via simple status monitoring (online / offline) in the map view.
