Ultra 1600 VTX
Instruction Diagram
The instruction diagram illustrates the connections for the Ultra 1600 VTX. Key connection points include:
- Antenna: Connection for the FPV antenna.
- Power in 7-36V: Input for the main power supply.
- GND: Ground connection.
- MIC: Input for the microphone.
- VIDEO: Video output signal.
- Power out 5V: 5V output, suitable for a camera or cooling fan.
- SDA, SCL: I2C communication pins.
- BUTTON: Mode switch button.
Indicator lights show the status:
- Power (Red LED): Indicates power status.
- Band (Green LED): Indicates the selected frequency band.
- Channel (Blue LED): Indicates the selected channel.
JST Connection
The JST connector is used for connecting the VTX. The diagram shows the wiring from the JST connector to the VTX board, including connections for Antenna, MIC, VIDEO, and the main board.
WARNING:
- Always install the antenna before use.
- Ensure constant airflow and a well-ventilated environment to prevent overheating. Use a cooling fan if operating in confined spaces.
- The 5V Output is intended only for a Camera or Cooling Fan. Do not connect the Power Input/Battery to the 5V Output port, as this will damage the VTX.
Features
- 1.6W super-power output, suitable for long-range flights with good stability.
- Six power levels: 25mW, 200mW, 400mW, 800mW, 1600mW, and Pit mode.
- Two-layer board cooling structure with separate power BEC and main board to reduce and shield from electromagnetic interference.

Support IRC Tramp Protocol
The Ultra 1600 VTX supports the IRC TRAMP protocol, allowing for modification of video transmission parameters such as frequency and working power via the remote control.
NOTE: For BetaFlight flight controller firmware versions above BetaFlight 4.1.0, a VTX Table must be uploaded to the flight controller to enable normal modification of video transmitter parameters using the remote control.
Refer to the article "How to Setup Betaflight VTX Table - SmartAudio Tramp VTX Control" by Oscar Liang for guidance on using the video transmitter table.
