NetModule NB2800 Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential information for setting up and operating your NetModule NB2800 router.
Device Overview
Front Panel Components
The front panel of the NB2800 router features several indicators and ports:
- 1 LED: Status indicator.
- STAT blinking: The device is busy due to startup, software, or configuration update.
- STAT on: The device is ready.
- 2 USB: USB 3.0 host port.
- 3 SIM slots: Slots for 4 Micro SIM cards (3FF).
Illustration depicting SIM card insertion: slide the card into the slot with the chip facing down, then push with a small paper clip (or similar) until it snaps into place. To remove, push the card again in the same manner; it will then pop out and can be pulled out.
Rear/Side Panel Components and Connections
The rear and side panels provide access to further connections and controls:
- 4 SIM cover: Located on the front panel, this cover is removed by loosening two screws and flipping it open to access the SIM card holder. Please close and tighten the screws after inserting SIM cards.
- 5 Reset button: Accessible through a small hole to the right of the SIM card slots.
- Press for at least 3 seconds for a reboot.
- Press for at least 10 seconds for a factory reset. The start of a factory reset is confirmed by all LEDs lighting up for a second, after which the button must be released.
- 6 Ethernet: Connect your computer to the router using the ETH 1 port to start configuration. The router defaults to a DHCP server with the IP address 192.168.1.1, which can be accessed via a web browser to reach the WEB-GUI.
- 7 LTE: FAKRA connectors for MIMO LTE antennas. The left port is designated as the main port.
- 8 WLAN: FAKRA connectors for MIMO WLAN antennas. The left port is designated as the main port.
- 9 Power and Ignition Sense: The router can be powered by an external source with nominal input voltages of 12VDC, 24VDC, 36VDC, and 48VDC.
- For power, use pins 1 (VGND) and 2 (V+).
- For ignition sense, use pin 3 (IGN).
- 10 Extension port cover: This connector is for extensions. Please refer to the router manual for detailed information.
