One-Year Limited Warranty
This Auray product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date or thirty (30) days after replacement, whichever occurs later. The warranty provider's responsibility with respect to this limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at the provider's discretion, of any product that fails during normal use of this product in its intended manner and in its intended environment. Inoperability of the product or part(s) shall be determined by the warranty provider. If the product has been discontinued, the warranty provider reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent quality and function.
This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper installation or maintenance. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, THE WARRANTY PROVIDER MAKES NEITHER ANY EXPRESS WARRANTIES NOR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Auray Customer Service Department to obtain a return merchandise authorization ("RMA") number, and return the defective product to auray along with the RMA number and proof of purchase. Shipment of the defective product is at the purchaser's own risk and expense.

Overview

Standard 3/8-16 threaded mount

Arrowhead tip
BP Series boom poles feature the unique Arrowhead tip that's designed to reduce weight at the top of the pole. For cable-equipped models, it also allows easy dropthrough cable insertion for quick and uncomplicated cable replacement. Thanks to the solderless design, you won't need special tools to replace the XLR cable with the cable replacement kit (sold separately).

The standard 3/8-16 threaded mount fits most shotgun

Rean TA3 (mini XLR) connector
The coiled XLR cable and bottom housing, feature TA3 (mini XLR) connectors manufactured by Rean® (a registered trademark of Neutrik®) that provide a secure locking connection and flawless signal transfer.

Coiled XLR cable
The integrated coiled XLR cable minimizes radio frequency (RF) and electromagnetic (EM) interference that can disrupt the audio signal. The coiled design allows the cable to smoothly extend and retract with the telescoping tubes.

Neutrik® bottom- and side-exit XLR connectors
Bottom-exit and side-exit Neutrik® connectors are housed in their own casings and assure a secure connection to the boom pole that won't jeopardize signal flow by twisting or jiggling.
Rubber end cap
BP-59A and BP-28CN boom poles feature a rubber end cap that provides a durable rubber pad at the bottom end of the boom pole. It allows the operator to rest the pole on its end without damaging the wiring or connector.

Twist locks
Twist locks make it possible to expand and collapse BP-36A with just one easy turn.
Foam handle
The BP-36A has a foam handle for maintaining your grip throughout long shoots. The handle is comfortable to hold in hot, direct sunlight or cold, wintery weather.

Instructions
Adjusting the length of the boom pole
1. Loosen the twist locks and extend the sections.
2. Once the sections are extended to the desired length, tighten the twist locks until secure.
Tip: When extending boom pole, start with the top sections first. This way, you will be able to reach the remaining twist locks as you lengthen the pole.
Collapsing the boom pole
1. Hold the boom pole at its base. Loosen the nearest twist lock, and collapse the section.
2. Repeat this for the other twist locks until the pole is collapsed.
Adjusting and collapsing the BP-36A
Twist the boompole's section to unlock it and adjust the length. Twist the section in the opposite direction to lock it in place.
Replacing the coiled XLR cable
(BP-47A, BP-59A, and BP-28CC only) The coiled XLR cable can be replaced on any of the BP boom poles that are equipped with cables. Follow the instructions included with the cable replacement kit (sold separately).
