Suggestions for Correct Use
- Switch ON the hood at minimum speed when you start cooking and keep it running for a few minutes after cooking.
- Increase speed only for large amounts of smoke and vapor.
- Replace charcoal filters when necessary for odor reduction.
- Clean grease filters when necessary for efficiency.
- Use the maximum diameter of the ducting system for optimal efficiency and minimal noise.
Installation
General Requirements:
- The minimum distance between the cooking hob and the hood must be 50cm for electric cookers and 65cm for gas or mixed cookers. Adhere to any greater distance specified in gas hob instructions.
- Electrical Connection: Ensure the mains power supply corresponds to the rating on the appliance's data plate. Connect to a properly installed socket. If direct mains connection is required, use a double-pole switch according to standards. Verify the power cable is correctly assembled before connecting to the mains. If the power cable is damaged, contact Technical Service.
- Mounting: Installation requires at least two persons due to the product's weight. Check if the product size is suitable for the installation area. Remove charcoal filters if not using the recirculation version. Check for any included accessories (screws, guarantees) and remove them. Ensure easy access to the ceiling/wall for mounting. Protect surrounding furniture and surfaces. Select a flat surface for assembly and place all parts there. Ensure an electrical socket and a fumes discharge opening are accessible near the installation area. Perform necessary masonry work. Use appropriate wall plugs and ensure the wall/ceiling is strong enough to support the hood's weight.
Operation
The hood is designed for exhausting or filtering versions.
Ducting Version: Fumes are conveyed outside via a pipe connected to the hood's connection ring. The exhaust pipe diameter must match the connection ring. Ensure a slight upward slant (approx. 10°) for horizontal runs. If the hood has a charcoal filter, it must be removed. Connect the hood to wall discharge holes with an equivalent diameter. Using smaller diameter pipes will reduce suction performance and increase noise.
Filter Version: Requires an active charcoal filter to absorb odors. Replace the charcoal filter at least every four months, as it cannot be washed or regenerated.
Controls:
- T1: ON/OFF lights
- T2: Stand by/ON display
- T3: ON/OFF suction speed (power) 1
- T4: ON/OFF suction speed (power) 2
- T5: ON/OFF suction speed (power) 3
Maintenance
WARNING: Disconnect the hood from the electrical supply before performing any maintenance.
Cleaning: Clean the hood internally and externally regularly (at least monthly) with a soft cloth dampened with neutral liquid detergent. Do not use abrasive products or alcohol. Failure to follow cleaning and filter replacement instructions may cause fire risks.
Grease Filter: Traps cooking grease particles. Clean monthly with non-aggressive detergents, by hand or in the dishwasher (low temperature, short cycle). Dishwasher washing may cause slight discoloration but does not affect filtering capacity. Pull the spring release handle to remove the filter.
Charcoal Filter (Filter Version Only): Absorbs unpleasant cooking odors. Replace the cartridge at least every four months. It cannot be washed or regenerated.
Replacing Lamps: The hood uses LED lighting, offering optimal illumination, a longer lifespan, and energy savings. Contact technical service for lamp replacement.
