Handset Features

The Yealink W59R DECT handset includes the following key components:

  1. Receiver: For incoming audio.

    • [long press] on idle screen turns the handset off.
    • Cancels actions, ends a call, or rejects an incoming call.
  10. Off-hook Key:
    • Answers an incoming call.
    • Enters the redial calls list.
    • Places a call in receiver or headset mode.
  11. Keypad: Provides digits, letters, and special characters.
  12. TRAN Key: Transfers a call to another party.
  13. Mute Key: Toggles the mute feature on or off.
  14. Microphone: Picks up audio and sends it to the receiving caller.
  15. Speaker: Outputs audio in handsfree mode (located on the back).
  16. Volume Key +/-: Increases and decreases volume (located on the side).
  17. Emergency Alarm Button: Located on top of the handset. [long press] for 2 seconds to set off the emergency alarm.

Getting Started

Handset Registration

To register the handset to the DECT Manager:

  1. Ensure the handset is fully charged.
  2. Contact Lumidee to enable registration mode on the DECT Manager:
    • Call: 073-751 77 77
    • Email: support@lumidee.nl
  3. Once registration mode is enabled on the DM base station, proceed to register one or more handsets.
  4. On the handset, press the 'Reg' soft key (4). The registration process will complete automatically.

Resetting Handset Registration

If a handset was previously registered to a different DM or base station, you need to reset it:

  1. Press the OK key (8) to enter the main menu and select 'Register Handset'.
  2. A list of available base units (not yet registered with) will appear.
  3. Select the desired base unit and press the 'OK' soft key (8).
  4. Enter the base PIN (default is 0000) and press the 'Done' (4) soft key to complete the process.

Renaming the Handset

  1. Press the OK key (8) to enter the main menu and select 'Settings' > 'Handset Name'.
  2. Edit the name in the 'Rename' field.
  3. Press the 'Save' (4) soft key to accept the change.

Using the Handset in Push-to-Talk Mode

  1. Press and hold the mute button (13) for 3 seconds to use the handset in the Push-to-Talk group.
  2. The soft key (4) will display 'Lock' to keep PTT mode open.

Pairing a Headset to the DECT Handset

You can also pair a headset with the handset. The headset will receive the same extension number as the handset. For assistance, please contact Lumidee (refer to registration point 2).
