ZENNER Stealth Ultrasonic Residential Meters
Model: ZSUR
Sizes: 5/8", 3/4", 1" and 1-1/2"
Introduction
ZENNER Ultrasonic Residential Meters are designed for applications requiring high accuracy, long life, and a dynamic flow range. Their advanced, all-digital technology ensures precise measurement without moving parts, leading to optimum revenue and sustained performance. These meters are suitable for measuring both potable and non-potable clean water in commercial and industrial settings and support bi-directional flow measurement. The design minimizes head loss, reducing pressure complaints and pumping costs for utilities.

Operation
These meters utilize solid-state sound measuring technology to determine instantaneous flow and calculate cumulative volume. The LCD display features two rows: the first displays total volume (factory programmed for US Gallons, Cubic Feet, or Cubic Meters), and the second row provides additional information such as flow rate, flow direction, remaining battery life, leak alarms, and empty pipe alerts. The meters offer ultra-precise leak registration with low flow sensitivity down to 1/32 GPM.
Construction
ZENNER Ultrasonic Residential Meters comprise three main components: the tube, the electronics and display package, and two transducers. The tube is available in either lead-free bronze or stainless steel.
Communication
Featuring a universal communication protocol package, these meters are compatible with Encoded systems and designed for integration with any existing AMR/AMI system.
Maintenance
ZENNER Ultrasonic Residential Meters are engineered for long-term service and are virtually maintenance-free due to the absence of moving parts. The battery pack has a standard lifespan of up to 12 years and is designed for easy user replacement without needing to return the meter to a ZENNER facility.
Conformance
These meters have been tested and comply with AWWA Standards C715 and C750. They also adhere to the lead-free provisions of the Safe Drinking Water Act and are certified to NSF/ANSI Standards 61 and 372.
Installation
ZENNER Ultrasonic Residential Meters are designed to match the laying length of standard multi-jet and positive displacement meters. Their robust design allows for safe and accurate use with or without a strainer. The meters are submersible, exceeding IP68 standards, and can be installed in any orientation, including horizontal and vertical.
Connections
Installation is facilitated by built-in wrench pads on meter sizes 5/8" through 1". Optional tailpiece/unions are available for various pipe types, sizes, and misaligned pipe installations.
