The perfect solution for all needs

Three freestanding units and one undercounter model meet a varied range of needs in everyday patient care. The PWD 8541 undercounter model can be easily integrated into runs of cabinetry. The PWD 8545 freestanding model offers optimum cleaning performance in combination with a particularly ergonomic working height. The additional convenience of activation by the nudge of an elbow is offered by model PWD 8546, whilst the PWD 8549 with its glass door allows the optimum control of processes.

Convenient operation

Bedpan washers from Miele Professional are easy to operate via direct-access pushbuttons and each feature Short, Standard and Intensive programmes. On model PWD 8546, elbow switches enhance user convenience and hygiene. Wash cycles and parameters can be adapted on all models to suit individual user needs.

Adjustable A0 value

The A0 value is a measure of the intensity of thermal disinfection and hence of the deactivation of micro-organisms. For optimum adjustment to requirements, the A0 values on bedpan washers from Miele Professional can be selected with ease. Depending on the model, A0 values of up to 3000 are possible.

Sophisticated cleaning and disinfection system

Several rotating and fixed nozzles guarantee the optimum transfer of mechanical energy and access all areas whilst saving water and chemicals. Every inch of the outer and inner surfaces of the load is wetted and cleaned with reproducible efficiency.

Continuous process monitoring

Bedpan washer controls continuously monitor compliance with all process parameters, e.g. the facility temperature in thermal disinfection. In the event of a deviation, an error message or an acoustic signal is issued. Additional security is achieved by a display which shows all relevant data, e.g. the status of the current programme, the A0 value reached and the maximum cycle temperature (depending on model).

Time-saving AutoDry function

All bedpan washers with an automatic door are equipped ex works with AutoDry. This function automatically opens the machine door as soon as the programme has ended. This supports drying by allowing residual moisture to evaporate. If required, this automatic function can be deactivated in the machine controls.

Automatic self-cleaning

During disinfection, steam is passed through the chamber of the bedpan washer, its pipework and nozzles. This not only thoroughly and reliably disinfects loads but also the entire system of pipework and nozzles.

Long life cycle and hygiene security

The chamber and panelwork on Miele bedpan washers is made from heat- and corrosion-resistant stainless steel (Material 1.4301, AISI 304). The perfectly smooth and seamless chamber prevents residues from adhering to surfaces, whilst minimal gaps and joints in outer surfaces make for particularly simple cleaning.

Extremely effective

All Miele bedpan washers feature a special-purpose washing and disinfection programme which is effective against the Clostridioides difficile (Cl. difficile) bacterium. The efficacy of this programme has been tested and certified by the HYGCEN hygiene institute.

Systematic user convenience

A variety of load carriers are available for all bedpan washers. Depending on on-site requirements, this allows a broad range of loads to be reprocessed - from common bedpans and urine bottles to more specific loads. Miele also offers basins for emptying bedpans and bottles with manual and automatic edge cleaning as a perfect complement to bedpan washers.

Thorough process documentation

Various options are available for the legally compliant documentation of reprocessing. Process data from a bedpan washer can, for instance, be ported direct to a printer. Additionally, these machines are equipped with backup memory capable of capturing the data from up to 800 reprocessing cycles.

With their careful formulation, these products are ideal for the commercial machine-based reprocessing of bedpans and urine bottles.
