Phone Overview
This section provides a visual guide to your IMO Dash 4G Mini phone.
Key Components:
- 1. Receiver: For listening during calls.
- 2. Display: The screen for viewing information.
- 3. Centre soft key: Confirms options.
- 4. Left soft key: Provides context-specific functions.
- 5. Right soft key: Returns to the previous screen or closes dialogs.
- 6. Dial key: Initiates calls or accesses call logs.
- 7. End key: Ends calls, exits menus, or powers the phone on/off.
- 8. Navigation key: Navigates menus and options.
- 9. "*" key: Inputs '*' or symbols in edit mode.
- 10. Torch Switch key: Turns the torch on/off.
- 11. Microphone: Captures audio.
- 12. "#" key: Switches input methods (e.g., Abc, abc, ABC, 123) in edit mode.
External Features:
- Torch: Located on the top of the phone.
- Camera: For taking photos.
- Loudspeaker: For audio output.
- USB Port: For charging and data transfer.
Installing SIM Card, Memory Card and Battery
Important: Always turn off the phone before installing or replacing the SIM card, memory card, or battery. The back cover must be removed first.
Removing Back Cover
- Ensure your device is turned off.
- Hold the device carefully with the front panel facing down.
- Pull the lower half of the back cover with your thumb or fingers to remove it.
Installing SIM Card
The SIM card contains your phone number, service details, and phonebook/message memory.
- Make sure the phone is turned off.
- Insert the SIM Card into the SIM Card slot with the gold contacts facing down and the cut-off corner facing out.
Installing Memory Card
Insert the microSD card into the slot with its gold contacts facing down. The Camera and photo gallery applications can only be initiated after the installation of the SD card.
Charging the Battery
When you first get your new phone, you will need to charge the battery.
- Connect the adapter to the charger jack, ensuring correct orientation. Do not force the connector.
- Connect the charger to a standard AC wall outlet.
- Disconnect the charger when the battery is fully charged.
How to Use the Keys
Functions of Keys
- Dial key: Originate a call by entering a number or selecting a contact, receive an incoming call, or view call records in standby state.
- End key: End a call, exit menus, or power the phone on/off (long press).
- Navigation key: Access menu shortcuts, scroll through options, or navigate in edit state.
- Left and Right soft keys: Perform functions displayed at the bottom of the screen. The Right soft key returns to the previous screen or closes dialogs.
- Centre soft key: Confirm a selection.
- Number keys, * key and # key: Input numbers and letters. In idle screen, '*' and Right Soft Key can lock the keypad. In editing state, '#' key switches input methods.
Turning On
Press and hold the Power on key for approximately 5 seconds until the phone powers up.
Device Security
Setting up a Screen Lock Password
- Navigate to Menu > Settings.
- Under Settings, choose Security.
- Go to Set Screen Lock Password.
- Input a new password.
- Confirm the new password.
- Press OK to finish the set-up.
