A mains powered, amplified aerial compatible with Digital Terrestrial TV and DAB/FM radio signals. Features an adjustable loop aerial for UHF TV signals and two telescopic aerials for VHF and FM radio signals, providing maximum flexibility even in low signal areas. Gain can also be manually adjusted on the unit, and there is an LED indicator showing power supply.

Features

Connection and Operation

  1. Connect the aerial's coaxial lead either directly to the back of your Digital TV, Terrestrial STB or DAB/FM radio receiver.
  2. Next connect the attached mains plug to a nearby power socket and switch on.
  3. Place the aerial in your desired location, for the best reception try and position as high as possible and away from large power consuming devices such as air-conditioning units, elevators, microwave ovens, hair dryers etc.
  4. Turn the aerial on by rotating the Power/Gain knob on the unit; the Power LED also lights up red. Set the gain control knob to the central setting at this stage.
  5. Finally run the channel scan operation on your device and once complete test the quality of the channels. It may be necessary to reposition the aerial and try again if the signal quality is low or you are receiving interference or missing channels.
  6. You can also try panning and tilting the loop antenna to improve the UHF TV signal.
  7. For VHF and FM radio signals, extend and adjust the 2 telescopic antennas on the unit.
  8. Gain can also be increased or decreased by rotating the Power/Gain knob on the unit.

Diagram Description: The aerial features a base with controls and indicators. A large loop aerial is mounted on a flexible arm, capable of panning 360 degrees and tilting 180 degrees for optimal UHF reception. Two slender telescopic antennas extend upwards for VHF and FM reception. A 'LED power indicator' light illuminates when the unit is powered on. A 'Gain adjust' knob controls the signal amplification.
