Control and Diagnostic Lights
Light | Description |
---|---|
Power button light | Solid blue light indicates the computer is in an active power state; blinking blue indicates the computer is in a sleep state. |
Drive activity light | Solid yellow light indicates the computer is not booting, indicating a system board or power supply problem. Blinking yellow indicates a system board problem. |
Diagnostic lights | Blinking blue light indicates the computer is reading data from or writing data to the hard drive. Four lights located on the front panel of the computer. For more information on diagnostic lights, see the Service Manual at support.dell.com/manuals. |
