Instruction Manual

Congratulations!

Thank you for choosing TISSOT®, one of the world's most renowned watch brands. Your Navigator 3000 watch is part of the TISSOT Tactile series, incorporating the latest technical innovations, including the celebrated sensor glass technology. This technology allows you to select various functions: local time and time in 4 other time zones (with 150 countries and cities stored), 2 alarms, calendar (automatic daylight saving time adjustment* and perpetual calendar until 2099), chronograph, and timer. The dual analog and digital display clearly communicates the selected function. Modern, sporty yet elegant, and equipped with numerous useful functions, the Navigator 3000 is ideal for active individuals who travel frequently.

IMPORTANT: Your Navigator watch is water-resistant up to 5 bar (50 m / 165 ft). However, if the glass comes into contact with liquid, it is impossible to select any function.

*According to data valid at the time of watch programming.

Basic Principles

Pressing the crown for one second activates the sensor glass, confirms a selected mode (Entry), and starts/stops the chronograph and countdown timer. Each setting must be confirmed with a short (< 1 sec) press of the crown.

The sensor glass activates only after pressing the crown for one second (indicated by an audible signal). It remains active for 10 seconds after the last touch.

Once the sensor glass is active, simply touch one of the 6 sensor zones to select the corresponding function:

  • 1: Local time
  • 2: Time in 4 other time zones
  • 3: Timer / Increase value
  • 4: Chronograph / Decrease value
  • 5: Alarm
  • 6: Calendar

After selecting a function, sequential presses on the same zone change the display mode.

A symbol [SET] indicates that you need to press the crown to enter the selected function.

When the display shows [SET] followed by a number (e.g., SET 1), you can adjust the function's settings.

If the display is flashing, you can either change the function's value using zones 3 [+] or 4 [Ө], or confirm the setting by pressing the crown (short press < 1 sec). If no action is taken for 10 seconds, the last setting is not confirmed, and the sensor glass deactivates.

After confirming a setting, the watch automatically returns to the time display mode, showing the last confirmed setting.

A high-pitched audible signal confirms crown presses. A low-pitched signal indicates an action cannot be performed*.

You can disable the watch's sound signals; refer to the 'Local Time' mode section, 'Sound Off' option.

To turn on the digital display backlight, rotate the crown in either direction. After activation, turn the crown clockwise to increase brightness and counter-clockwise to decrease it. The backlight remains on for 10 seconds after the last touch.

[Image description: The watch face with numbered sensor zones (1-6). Arrows indicate interaction with the crown and sensor zones for increasing/decreasing values and confirming settings. A separate diagram shows how to adjust backlight brightness.]

Mode: "Local Time"

When sold, your watch hands show the local time. The display shows either the local time or the region whose local time is displayed.

If you need to change the local time, you can select another time zone by following the steps below. You can also select one of the display languages (French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese), turn sound signals on or off, and activate the battery-saving mode.

Setting Local Time

Step 1: Select Continent. Use sensor zones [Ө] or [Ө] to cycle through continents (EUROPE, AMERICA, ASIA, OCEANIA). Confirm your selection by pressing the crown.

Step 2: Select Country. Use sensor zones [Ө] or [Ө] to cycle through countries within the selected continent. Confirm your selection by pressing the crown.

Step 3: Set Time. Use sensor zones [Ө] or [Ө] to adjust hours and minutes. Confirm each setting by pressing the crown.

Language Selection

You can choose one of 6 available languages: French, German, English, Spanish, Italian, or Portuguese. Use sensor zones [Ө] or [Ө] to cycle through languages. Confirm your selection by pressing the crown.

Sound Off (except alarm)

Use sensor zones [Ө] or [Ө] to select 'Sound ON' or 'Sound OFF'. Confirm your selection by pressing the crown.

Power Saving (ECO BAT)

If you do not intend to wear the watch for an extended period, you can activate the 'ECO BAT' mode to extend battery life. The watch enters standby mode, the LCD display turns off, and the hands move to 6:30. To reactivate the watch, hold the crown pressed for 2 seconds.

Confirm your selection by pressing the crown.

Digital and Analog Synchronization

Refer to the 'Expert user mode' section.

Exit settings.

Mode: "Expert user mode"

Adding a City Name

To add a city name, select the 'NEW' function using sensor zones [Ө] or [Ө]. Confirm your selection by pressing the crown. Use sensor zones [Ө] or [Ө] to select each letter of the city name (up to 8 characters). Confirm each letter by pressing the crown. After entering the last letter, you can set the exact time if needed (see above).

Digital and Analog Synchronization

If you notice that the watch hands and display show different times, you can synchronize the hands to show the correct time:

If the display shows 'ECO BAT' is active, hold the crown pressed for 5 seconds – both hands should move to the '12' position. If not, you need to set them manually as described below.

Use sensor zones [Ө] or [Ө] to move the minute hand; use sensor zone [Ө] to move the hour hand. Confirm your selection by pressing the crown.

Mode: "World Time"

With the 'T-World' function, your watch can display the time in 4 additional time zones besides the local time. The default settings include New York, Rio de Janeiro, Thailand, and Sydney, but you can select the time for any of the 150 cities stored in the watch's memory. You can also select a 'reference' time using the SWAP function, choose between absolute time or time difference using the ABS function, and even (in 'Expert user mode') change the daylight saving time (DST) settings.

Setting World Time

Using the sensor zones [Ө] or [Ө], select the desired region or the 'SET' function. To proceed to settings, select the 'SET' function and press the crown.

Alarm settings are synchronized with the analog display.

Changing Time Display: Absolute Time - Time Difference

Setting Alarm Time

Use the sensor zones [Ө] or [Ө] to select alarm 1 or 2, or the 'SET' function. To proceed to alarm settings, select the 'SET' function and press the crown.

Mode: "Chronograph"

Exit settings.

Note: All settings for your watch are pre-configured and should not require changing the date.

Reminder: You can change the display language (see 'Local Time' mode section).

Mode: "Countdown Timer"

Your watch can be used as a timer. An audible signal sounds when the set time expires. The signal is silenced by a short press of the crown.

Note: During the last 5 seconds of the countdown, the display shows the remaining time, and a signal sounds every second.

Watch Care

We recommend regularly cleaning your watch (except for the leather strap) with a soft cloth dampened with warm, soapy water. After swimming in saltwater, rinse the watch with fresh water and dry it thoroughly. Do not leave your watch in places subject to extreme temperature fluctuations, humidity, direct sunlight, or near magnetic fields.

To maintain your warranty and ensure impeccable technical service for your watch, always contact authorized TISSOT® dealers or representatives.

TISSOT® quartz watches guarantee unparalleled accuracy, characteristic of all quartz watches. Their battery life typically lasts over 2 years of continuous operation. If you plan not to wear the watch for several weeks, we recommend activating the 'economy' mode before storing it. This stops power supply to the oscillator, significantly extending battery life.

Battery Replacement

When the battery reaches the end of its life, it must be immediately removed and replaced by TISSOT® dealers. Battery type: Lithium-manganese button cell, Renata CR 2025. Note: A flashing display will indicate when the battery is low.

Collection and Disposal of Quartz Watches After Their Service Life*

This symbol indicates that this product cannot be disposed of with household waste. Quartz watches must be handed in at a local authorized waste collection and return center. By following this procedure, you contribute to protecting the environment and human health. The recycling of such materials helps conserve natural resources.
