Safety Guidelines for E-Bike Usage
- Read this manual before using the equipment.
- Comply with local laws and regulations for e-bike usage.
- Before riding, thoroughly check all components for good condition. Contact ENGWE if any problems are found.
- Ensure the rider wears a helmet and other protective gear.
- Minors must use the product legally and with parental approval and supervision.
- Riders must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Do not operate the bike if illness prevents strenuous activity.
- Avoid riding in extreme weather conditions or when excessively fatigued.
- While suitable for rain or snow, avoid water contact near the motor center to prevent damage to internal circuitry.
- Do not charge or park the bike indoors. Keep charging away from flammable materials and avoid excessively long charging times.
- Do not touch battery discharge components with hands. Avoid metal contact with battery electrodes and the bike circuit to prevent short circuits.
- Use the original charger for battery charging. Do not use the bike's battery for other devices.
- Avoid using non-original parts. Unauthorized disassembly, cracking, or modification is prohibited and is your responsibility.
- Regularly maintain brakes, tires, and other moving parts for proper functionality.
- Services outside the warranty scope may require payment.

Boost Button (B Button)
Operation Instructions: Press the B button while riding with pedal assist to increase power. The power enhancement effect lasts up to 60 seconds per operation. To increase power again after 60 seconds, release and re-press the button.
Note:
- For safety reasons, use only when local traffic regulations allow.
- The B button function does not work when riding with the throttle.

Product Installation
CAUTION: READ THIS MANUAL BEFORE USING YOUR EQUIPMENT
4.1 Install the Handlebar
Remove handlebars from packaging. Place the center of the handlebars onto the riser clamp. Install 4 bolts using a 4mm hexagon wrench clockwise. Do not fully tighten bolts initially. Adjust the handlebar to the proper angle, then tighten the 4 bolts securely.
4.2 Install the Front Wheel
Remove the front wheel from packaging. Install the screw gasket shaft sleeve according to the diagram. Place the front wheel into the front fork card slot and lock it using a 15mm wrench.
4.3 Install the Front Mudguard
Connect the lifting lug of the mudguard to the hole of the front fork axle pipe and thread in the screw to tighten. Align the mudguard support with the front fork mudguard take-up hole position, then thread in the screw for tightening.
4.4 Install the Front Basket
Remove the basket from packaging. Install the screw gasket according to the diagram. Install 4 bolts clockwise using a 4mm hexagon wrench. Place the harness in the front shelf hook.
4.5 Install the Front Light
Install the headlight screw washer nut according to the diagram. Fix the headlight line as shown in the figure.
4.6 Install the Pedals
Prepare the left ('L') and right ('R') pedals. The 'R' pedal is installed on the side of the chainring, and 'L' is installed on the opposite side. Tighten the right pedal ('R') clockwise. Tighten the left pedal ('L') counterclockwise.
Display Instructions (Model: YL61F-D)
The YL61F-D display offers various features for your riding needs.
4.1 Function Overview
Features include average speed (AVG), maximum speed, odometer, trip odometer, battery level, PAS level, walk boost, and light control.
4.2 Functional Area Layout
The display interface shows: Battery level (represented by bars), Speed, Error codes, PAS level, Walk boost indicator, Light ON/OFF status, Speed Metric (KM/H or MPH), Odometer, Trip Odometer, Max speed, and Average speed.
4.3 Button Definitions
The display has three buttons: Power on/off (long press to turn on/off), Plus (+), and Minus (-).
5.1 Power On/Off
Long press the power button to turn the display on or off. When off, the display uses minimal battery power (<1uA leakage current). The display automatically shuts off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
5.2 Display Interface Switching
When powered on, the display defaults to Current Speed and Trip Odometer. Short press the power button to cycle through Trip Odometer, Odometer, Maximum Speed, and Average Speed.
5.3 Walk Boost Mode
Long press and hold the '-' button to enter walk boost mode. The e-bike moves at walking speed, indicated on the display. Release the button to stop power output and return to the previous state. This mode is for pushing the e-bike, not for riding.
5.4 Turning On/Off Lights
Long press the '+' button to turn on the lights; the display backlight dims. Long press '+' again to turn off the lights; the backlight restores its brightness.
5.5 Assist Level Selection
Press the '+' or '-' buttons to switch the Pedal Assist System (PAS) level, which changes the motor output power.
5.6 Battery Level Display
The battery level is shown with 5 bars. All bars are lit when fully charged. When depleted, the bar flashes, indicating the need to charge.
5.7 Error Code Indicator
If an electronic system fault occurs, the display shows an error code. Refer to Schedule 1 for definitions.

Battery
Average speeds can contribute to longer travel range. WARNING: Beware of chemical burns! If the battery is damaged, stop using it immediately.
If the battery is completely empty, it may no longer charge. Overheating or undercharging can shorten battery life and decrease product run time.

Charging
Charging time is 4-6 hours, depending on remaining battery capacity. WARNING: Handle the lithium battery carefully to avoid damage to its internal structure and protection board.
