Timer Control (0-120 minutes) 3 4 6 7 5 Assembling Your 30 Inch Tower Fan The stand of the tower fan comes in two parts, which fit around the base of the fan with the power cord exiting through the hole in the centre. Both parts fit easily together. Before assembly, place a cloth or similar underneath it to prevent damage to the outer casing. 1. Take the two halves of the Stand (5) and thread the mains cable through the hole in the stand as the halves are clipped together. 2. Left: Lay the left section of the Base (5) over the right section and clip the two halves together until the stand is complete as shown above and left: Note the mains cable threaded through the Base (5). 5 IMPORTANT RETAIN THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE 3. Once the Stand (5) is assembled, position it so that the mains cable is at the back of the fan then push it onto to base of the fan until all four clips click home. Back of the Fan As the stand is attached to the fan, guide the mains cable through the cord guide keep the cable firmly in place and prevent the power cable twisting or being caught during use. 30 Inch Tower Fan Model COL1602 User Manual Setting Up Your Tower Fan 1. Place the fan into the desired position ensuring that it is on a solid, even surface and vertical. 2. Ensure that the Timer Control (7) is set to the `ON' position and the Speed/Oscillate Control (6) is set to the `0' position. 3. Insert the mains plug into the nearest socket. Using Your Tower Fan Fan Speeds The fan has three speeds: Speed 1 - Low Speed Speed 2 - Medium Speed Speed 3 - High Speed Fan Only Mode For Fan only mode, rotate the Speed/Oscillation Control (6) anticlockwise to the desired speed on the LEFT-HAND side of the control. The fan will start blowing air in stationary mode. Fan and Oscillation Mode For Fan and Oscillation mode, rotate the Speed/Oscillation Control (6) clockwise to the desired speed on the RIGHT-HAND side of the control. The fan will start blowing air and oscillate from side to side. 6 IMPORTANT RETAIN THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE Switching the Fan Off Rotate the Speed/Oscillation Control (6) to the `0' position (either at the top or bottom) to switch the fan off. 30 Inch Tower Fan Model COL1602 User Manual Using the Timer (7) · Rotate the Timer Control (7) clockwise to the desired number of minutes that the fan is required to be on for. Once the Timer Control (7) has returned to the `OFF' position, the fan will switch off. The Timer Control (7) can be set up to a maximum of 2 hours. For normal fan operation, ensure that the Timer Control (7) is set to the `ON' position. Care and Maintenance of Your Tower Fan · Ensure that the fan is not connected to the mains supply before cleaning. · Wipe the fan body clean with a clean, soft damp cloth. · Do not immerse the fan or its cord in water or any other liquid. Non-Rewireable Mains Plug If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead and should the fuse need replacing, you must use an ASTA approved one (conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating). If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician. Do not use a plug with the fuse cover missing. If you need to remove the plug DISCONNECT FROM THE MAINS and then cut it off the mains lead and immediately dispose of it safely. Never attempt to reuse the plug or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of electric shock.
