Product Overview
The Tracer 4.0D FHD Mensa is a car camera designed for recording driving footage. It features high-definition recording, a rear camera input, and various intelligent functions to enhance safety and convenience.
Key Features and Functions
- Video Resolution: Single front camera recording in FHD 1920*1080p at 30fps. Dual recording with front and rear cameras in HDR 1280*720p at 30fps/480p.
- LCD Screen: 4-inch IPS screen with 2.5D hardened glass.
- Video Format: MPEG-4 (*.AVI).
- G-Sensor: Detects and automatically saves/locks recordings in case of impact or sudden changes in motion, providing evidence for incidents.
- Loop Recording: Allows setting recording duration to 1, 2, or 3 minutes. Videos are saved sequentially and overwritten when the memory card is full, except for locked files.
- Motion Detection: Automatically starts recording when motion is detected in the camera's field of view while in standby mode.
- Parking Mode: Activates recording upon detecting an impact when the camera is turned off, securing the footage.
- Microphone: Built-in microphone for audio recording.
- Power Interface: 5V 1A via USB or car charger.
- Battery: 200mAh internal battery for settings backup and short-term recording during power loss.
Installation Guide
- Ensure the car engine is turned off.
- Insert a high-speed microSD card (Class 10 or higher, 8-32GB) into the card slot.
- Connect the car charger to the car's cigarette lighter socket.
- Mount the mirror dash cam onto the car's front mirror using the provided mounting elements. Adjust the lens position for a level view.
- Connect the rear camera to the appropriate slot on the mirror camera. For automatic switching to the rear camera view when reversing, connect the red cable from the rear camera extension cord to the +12V terminal of the reverse lamp bulb. Professional installation is recommended for this step.
- Connect the USB port to the car charger using the charging extension cable. The cable can be routed along the windshield edge.
- Start the car engine. The power indicator LED should light up, and the camera will enter recording mode. Check if the display shows a normal picture.
Note: The dashcam requires a constant power supply from the vehicle. The internal battery is for backup and not sufficient for continuous recording.
