Drawing No. 51186-006 Issue 1 (Page 1 of 1)

The Photic Stimulator is a solid-state electronic device for generating short-duration flashes of white light. In EEG, this is used to assess a patient's photosensitivity, i.e. sensitivity to flashing lights. The Photic Stimulator must only be used by a competent healthcare professional.

The User Manual will be found on the enclosed CD. Please read this before using the Photic Stimulator and pay particular attention to all Cautions and Warnings.

If a mounting arm was supplied with the unit, please refer to the attached assembly instructions. If no arm is supplied, please note that the cable clips which may be provided with the unit are superfluous and may be discarded.

If the unit is to be USB controlled, the drivers will be found on the enclosed CD. After connecting the Photic Stimulator for the first time, at the Windows prompt, browse to the folder CD Drive:\USB Drivers. From there, Windows will find the correct drivers for the version of Windows being used.

The CD contains a Stand-alone control program. Follow the instructions in the Readme file.
