Download the free Temp Stick app to your smartphone or tablet.
You can find them by scanning the QR codes below or by searching for "Temp Stick" in the app store.

Once downloaded, create a new account or log in to an existing Temp Stick account.

Install the 2x AA Energizer Lithium batteries (included) in to your Temp Stick.

Power on the device by sliding the power switch at the top of the Temp Stick to the right. The LED light on the front of your Temp Stick will start blinking red to indicate you are in Setup Mode.

In the app, navigate to the "Sensors" tab and click "Add New Temp Stick".
Follow the in-app instructions to finish setting up your Temp Stick and add it to your account.
Note: The Temp Stick works only on a 2.4Ghz Wifi network for maximum range & reliability.
ALTERNATIVE SETUP USING A PC
*This must be done from a WiFi capable PC. First, Complete steps 1 & 2 and verify the LED light on the front of your Temp Stick is blinking red. Open a web browser and go to mytempstick.com. Once logged in to your account, go to the "Sensors" section of your account, click on "+ Add New Temp Stick" and follow the on-screen instructions.
LOGGING IN TO YOUR SENSOR
From a Smartphone or Tablet: Download the free app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. You can find them by scanning the QR codes from step 1 or by searching for "Temp Stick" in the app store. From a PC, Laptop etc: Open a web browser navigate to mytempstick.com

TIPS FOR FIRST TIME USE
FIRST TIME USE & CALIBRATION:
Important: Initial readings may be off by +/- 10° until calibration is complete (about 1 hour). The sensor will calibrate during the first hour of use. The blue light will come on for a couple seconds each time the sensor takes a reading (once an hour by default).
USING IN A FREEZER?
The sensor can measure freezing temperatures as low as -40°. For freezers, you must use 2x AA (1.5V) Energizer Lithium batteries for continued operation. Do not use alkaline batteries in freezers as they cease to function at sub zero temperatures.
TO CHANGE WIFI NETWORKS
1. Remove the battery cover. 2. While the device is powered on, hold down the reset
button until the red light on the front of the Temp Stick turns on, then release (about 5-6 secs). Once you have a steady blinking red light you will be in setup mode. 3. In your Temp Stick app, navigate to the "Sensors" section. Select the sensor who's wifi network you want to update. Click on the "Update WiFi" button. 4. Follow the on-screen instructions to change your primary WiFi network or add a 2nd wifi network as a backup.
PERFORMING A FACTORY RESET
1. Turn off Temp Stick (slide power switch left). 2. Hold down reset button, power on device, keep reset
button held until the led on front of Temp Stick turns blue and release (30 seconds). 3. Once you have a steady blinking red light the device has been reset to factory settings.
BATTERY OPTIONS
Lithium Batteries (Included)
Your Temp Stick sensor comes with two 1.5V AA Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries. Average battery life expectancy with default settings is up to 1 year.
Lithium batteries are recommended for Extreme heat and freezer applications:
Lithium batteries perform even in the most extreme temperatures, making lithium batteries perfect for extremely cold or hot conditions where alkaline batteries typically cease to function.

Blinking Red (steady) In Setup Mode/Pairing Mode
Solid Blue (1-5 secs)
Blinking Blue/Red (about 50 secs)
Taking a New Reading. The frequency depends on your check-in interval settings.
Downloading Firmware Update. Avoid powering off device.
TEMP STICK PLACEMENT
Freestanding: Place on a flat surface in the area you wish to monitor.
Mount it: Using the provided adhesive strip.
Hang it: Using the provided lanyard.

This product is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for three years from date of purchase.
Ideal Sciences will, at its election and as the purchaser's or end user's sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of the limited warranty set forth above, repair or replace this product if a defect in material or workmanship is identified and communicated to Ideal Sciences within the three-year period described above. Ideal Sciences is not responsible for removal or re-installation costs. This warranty is not valid in cases where damage to this product is the result or arises out of misuse, abuse, incorrect repair or improper wiring or installation.
