Why We Recommend a Wallbox

While a three-pin socket can charge your CUPRA Tavascan, a home wallbox is recommended for its high energy demands and significantly faster charge times. A 7.2kW wallbox charges three times faster than a three-pin plug. Installation by an accredited installer like Ohme ensures a full night of uninterrupted fast charging.

Warranty

Five-Year Manufacturer Warranty: Covers most mechanical and electrical components for manufacturing defects. Includes a two-year unlimited mileage warranty, plus three additional years up to 90,000 miles.

Three-Year Paint Warranty: Covers paintwork against manufacturing defects for three years, provided the vehicle is maintained according to the operating instructions.

12-Year Body Protection Warranty: Covers internal body sections and panels against corrosion originating from internal cavities for twelve years.

Battery Warranty: Covers batteries for electric vehicles against defects in materials and workmanship for eight years or up to 100,000 miles. Gradual battery energy reduction is normal and not a warrantable defect. If battery energy content falls below 70% within the warranty period, it will be repaired or replaced under warranty, subject to conditions.

CUPRA Parts Warranty: CUPRA parts and accessories supplied after new vehicle delivery are covered by a 24-month warranty.

CUPRA Roadside Assistance (Including European Cover): Provides one year of free roadside assistance and recovery to an authorized repairer for new CUPRAs purchased and registered in the UK.

Vehicle Excise Duty

All new vehicles are subject to Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) based on fuel type and CO₂ emissions (g/km). The table below shows the 1st year RFL rates for petrol, diesel, and alternative fuel vehicles.

The standard rate for Petrol, Diesel and Alternative Fuel Vehicles is £195. Vehicles with a list price (RRP) over £40,000 incur an additional £425 annual tax.

The Benefit in Kind (BIK) percentage is determined by the vehicle's CO₂ emissions for the current tax year (2025/26).

Your Tyre Label

Your EU tyre label provides essential information about tyre performance, including energy efficiency, wet grip, and external noise levels. The configurator will display various tyre labels as multiple tyre options may be fitted during production.

Energy Efficiency: Measures rolling resistance, indicating lower energy consumption for Class-A tyres.

Wet Grip: Assesses braking performance in wet conditions, with Grade-A offering the shortest stopping distance.

External Noise: Indicates the noise level of the tyre, with Class-A being the quietest.
