Getting Started

MIUI

The Xiaomi 12 Lite comes pre-installed with MIUI, a customized Android-based OS offering frequent updates and user-friendly features based on feedback from over 200 million active users worldwide. For more information, please visit en.miui.com.

Device Overview

The device features a display showing the time and date. Key physical components include:

  • Volume Buttons: Located on the side of the device.
  • Power Button: Located on the side of the device.
  • USB Type-C Port: Located at the bottom of the device for charging and data transfer.

SIM Card Tray

The device supports Dual SIM cards. The SIM card tray can accommodate Nano-SIM cards.

About Dual SIM:

  • Supports Dual SIM cards with no carrier restrictions, enabling dual 5G connectivity.
  • Features Dual Nano-SIM card slots, with either card configurable as the primary card.
  • Supports Dual SIM across 5G/4G/3G/2G networks.

Important Safety Information:

  • Use of unauthorized cables, power adapters, or batteries can cause fire, explosion, or other risks. Use only authorized accessories compatible with your device.
  • The device's operating temperature range is 0°C to 40°C. Using the device outside this range may cause damage.
  • If your device has a built-in battery, do not attempt to replace it yourself to avoid damaging the battery or device.
  • Charge the device only with the included or authorized cable and power adapter. Using other adapters may cause fire, electric shock, and damage.
  • After charging, disconnect the adapter from both the device and the power outlet. Do not charge for more than 12 hours.
  • The battery must be recycled or disposed of separately from household waste. Mishandling the battery may cause fire or explosion. Dispose of or recycle the device, its battery, and accessories according to local regulations.
  • Do not disassemble, hit, crush, or burn the battery. If deformed or damaged, stop using it immediately.
  • Do not short-circuit the battery, as this may cause overheating, burns, or injury.
  • Do not place the battery in a high-temperature environment; overheating may cause explosion.

  • If the battery appears deformed or damaged, stop using it immediately.

  • Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. Contact Mi customer support or an authorized repair center for any malfunctions.
  • Connect other devices according to their manuals. Do not connect incompatible devices.
  • For AC/DC adapters, the socket-outlet should be installed near the equipment and be easily accessible.

Safety Precautions:

  • Observe all applicable laws and rules restricting mobile phone use in specific situations and environments.
  • Do not use the phone at petrol stations or in any explosive atmosphere (e.g., fueling areas, below decks on boats, fuel/chemical facilities, or areas with dust/powders). Obey posted signs to turn off wireless devices. Turn off your phone in blasting areas or areas requiring "two-way radios" or "electronic devices" to be turned off.
  • Do not use the phone in hospital operating rooms, emergency rooms, or intensive care units. Always comply with hospital rules. If you have a medical device, consult your doctor and the manufacturer to determine potential interference. Maintain a minimum distance of 15 cm between the phone and a pacemaker, using the ear opposite the pacemaker and not carrying the phone in a breast pocket. Avoid interference with medical equipment like hearing aids or cochlear implants.
  • Observe aircraft safety regulations and turn off the phone on board aircraft when required.
  • When driving, use the phone in accordance with traffic laws and regulations.
  • To avoid being struck by lightning, do not use the phone outdoors during thunderstorms.
  • Do not use the phone to make calls while it is charging.
  • Do not use the phone in places with high humidity, such as bathrooms, as this may result in electric shock, injury, fire, and charger damage.

Security Statement

Please update your phone's operating system using the built-in software update feature or visit authorized service outlets. Updating software through other means may damage the device or result in data loss, security issues, and other risks.

RF Exposure Information (SAR)

This device complies with Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) limits for general population/uncontrolled exposure (Localized 10-gram SAR for head and trunk, limit: 2.0W/kg) as specified in Council Recommendation 1999/519/EC, ICNIRP Guidelines, and RED (Directive 2014/53/EU).

During SAR testing, the device transmitted at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands and was placed in positions simulating RF exposure during use against the head (no separation) and near the body (5 mm separation).

SAR compliance for body operation is based on a separation distance of 5 mm between the unit and the human body. The device should be carried at least 5 mm away from the body to ensure RF exposure levels are compliant or lower than reported levels. When attaching the device near the body, use a belt clip or holster that does not contain metallic components and maintains at least 5 mm separation. RF exposure compliance with any body-worn accessory containing metal was not tested or certified, and use of such accessories should be avoided. Any accessory used for body-worn operation must keep the device a minimum of 1.5 cm away from the body.

Restrictions in the 2.4 GHz band: Norway: This subsection does not apply for the geographical area within a radius of 20 km from the centre of Ny-Ålesund.

Ensure the power adapter used meets the requirements of Clause 6.4.5 in IEC/EN 62368-1 and has been tested and approved according to national or local standards.
