GP INEOS BULL BAR INSTALLATION This guide will help you assemble your new GP Factor Bull Bar. GP Factor assumes no liability for proper or improper installation of this kit or any use of this kit with your vehicle. If you are installing this kit, you agree to these terms and assume all liability for the installation and use of this kit. GP Factor warranties the bull bar from manufacturing defects. DISCLAIMER: This product is not intended to serve as a recovery point and should not be used as such. While it is a robust and well-crafted item, it is not designed to function as a brush guard for pushing, pulling, or making contact with vehicles, livestock, or any other objects. GP Factor does not provide a warranty for this product against improper use, collisions, or incorrect installation. Additionally, this product is not crash tested. GP Factor assumes no responsibility for any damage caused to or by this product resulting from a collision or crash. Installation of this kit may void certain factory warranty items on your vehicle. If you are unfamiliar with installing parts on trucks, disassembly and reassembly of a system like this, please have a qualified GP dealer do this install. BEFORE STARTING: READ THROUGH THIS INSTALLATION MANUAL TOOLS NEEDED: · 6mm & 8MM drivers · T30 & T50 Torx drivers · 19mm socket wrenches INCLUDED IN THIS KIT: X1 Hardware pack: (Pictured to the left) X1 Center Tube Section X1 Driver side tube X1 Passenger Side tube X1 Drivers side pillar X1 Passenger side pillar PAGE 1 STEP 1: DISASSEMBLY OF FACTORY BUMPER 2. Removal of Factory Plastic front bumper covers and front screws: Tools Needed: T30 Torx, T50 Torx Using the T30 Torx tool, remove the x8 M6 bolts and the two plastic covers Using a T50 Torx tool, Remove the front 8 M10 bolts. None of these screws you removed will be re-used. PAGE 2 STEP 2: ASSEMBLY OF BULL BAR · Assemble the pillars and pipes with the provided M12 bolts, washers and nuts. · In the top picture, this is the passenger side, not the orientation of the pillar. This bar only goes together one way so its easy to assemble. · Each bolt and nut uses a washer. · DO NOT tighten the bolts and washers. We want them just threaded on but loose. We will tighten these fully once on the vehicle. · These nuts are fully metal locking nuts so they only thread so far by hand · These locking nuts have 3 small indents that indicated the OUTSIDE of the nut where it locks. You thread onto the bolt with the other side for these to function properly PAGE 3 STEP 3: INSTALLING BAR ON VEHICLE · Using the provided Vibratite, put on each bolt that will be used that was included in your kit · Place the loosely assembled bull bar on the vehicle. PAGE 4 STEP 3: INSTALLING BAR ON VEHICLE · Using the provide M10 bolts and washers, thread on the X8 front screws FIRST. DO not tighten. · After the M10 screws are threaded on, move on to the M6 x 20mm and M6 x 35mm screws that go in the top holes with washers. The longer M6 screws are on the inside holes closest to the grill on both sides of the pillars. Then thread on the X4 M6 x 20mm screws and washers in the bottom holes of the pillars. · REMEMBER: DO NOT TIGHTEN UNTIL ALL SCREWS ARE INSTALLED AND THREADED. · NOW you can start to tighten all the screws, starting with the M10 screws on the front first, and the M6 on the top and bottom second. M10 bolts are torqued to 30 ft. lbs. M6 bolts are torqued to 15 ft. lbs. PAGE 5 STEP 3: INSTALLING BAR ON VEHICLE · Using an 8mm Hex tool and a 19mm wrench, NOW you can tighten the tube and pillar sections. torque to 50 ft. lbs · Your Bull Bar is complete!
