Installation Steps
1️⃣ Step 1: Base Assembly
Turn the base unit (Avecta Trolley Base) upside down. Push each castor into place until it clicks. Ensure the castors with brakes are positioned at the front. Place the base on the floor and apply the brakes on the front wheels by pressing the brake lever down. (See last page for other base options).
2️⃣ Step 2: Column Attachment
Place the two columns (Component 1) with holes, located approximately 75mm from the bottom, over the crocodile lugs on the base. If using split columns, refer to page 7.
3️⃣ Step 3: Secure Columns Loosely
Ensure the holes in the columns align with the grub screws at the rear of the crocodile lugs. Leave these grub screws loose for now.
4️⃣ Step 4: Column Adapter
Place the column adapter (Component 3) over the top of the two columns. Ensure the grub screws on the adapter are on the same side as the rear of the base.
5️⃣ Step 5: Secure Columns and Base
Once the columns are positioned at the desired height, tighten the two grub screws on the column adapter to secure them. Then, tighten the base grub screws to secure the columns to the base.
6️⃣ Step 6: Mount Back Plate
Align the Universal Mount Back Plate (Component 5) with the mount adapter. Secure the back plate by inserting four screws from behind the mount adapter into the four rivet nuts located on the back plate. Ensure the back plate is firmly attached and screws are tightened.
7️⃣ Step 7: Attach Mounting Arms to Screen
Locate the mounting holes on the back of your screen. Align the two Universal Mount Arms (Component 6) and attach them to the back of the screen using the provided tag locks and manufacturer-recommended screws (included in the fixing kit).
8️⃣ Step 8: Mount Screen to Back Plate
Lift the screen with the attached arms. Align it with the secured back plate. Offer the screen up at a slight angle, allowing the top of the arms to hook over the lip of the back plate.
9️⃣ Step 9: Secure Screen Level
Gently lower the screen until it hangs securely on the back plate. Once centered, adjust the screen's level using the two top screws on the mount arms. Once leveled, secure the screen by tightening the bottom two screws on the mount arms.
? Step 10: Install Front In-Fill Panels
Identify the front mast in-fill panels (Component 8 & 10). Start with the panel that has the 4-way power socket attached (if applicable) and clip it into place. Cable up as necessary.
1️⃣1️⃣ Step 11 (Optional): Fit Shelf
If fitting a shelf (Component 2), choose the desired height and insert it between the panels as you clip them into position. To insert, angle the shelf as you offer it up to the columns. Level it out and rest it in position. Unlike the infill panels, the shelf does not clip into place.
1️⃣2️⃣ Step 12: Install Rear In-Fill Panels
Identify the remaining mast in-fill panels (Component 9 & 11). Start from the bottom and clip in two of the larger rear panels, threading cabling through where necessary.
Alternative Mounting Options
? Bolt Down Installation
Step 1A: Position the floor plate and mark through the screw holes where it will be positioned. Before screwing, ensure any cables that will go underneath the plate are threaded through the column grips.
Step 1B: Loosen the grub screws on the jaws of the column grips to allow the columns to slide. Slide the columns into position, ensuring no cables are caught. Leave loose for now and proceed to Step 4 (referring to page 3).
? Floor-to-Wall Installation
Step 1B: Position the floor plate and mark through the screw holes where it will be positioned against a wall, then fix it in place. Loosen the grub screws on the jaws of the column grips to allow the columns to slide over (as circled in the diagram).
Step 2B: Before fixing the top plate, slide the twin column mount adapter over the columns. This can be height adjusted during installation. Loosen the grub screws on the column grips on the top wall plate and place them into the columns. Mark through the screw holes and fix the top plate into place against the wall. Follow on from Step 6 (referring to page 4).
↔️ Split Columns Installation
Step 2: All columns have a half-moon notch at one end. Two columns will have holes approximately 75mm from one end (typically the longer pair). Place these two columns with holes over the crocodile lugs on the base.
Step 3: Ensure the holes align with the grub screws at the rear of the crocodile lugs. Leave the grub screws loose for now.
Step 4: Place column couplers into the columns so that the open jaws are at the top and the grub screws align with the half-moon notch at the rear. Ensure grub screws are screwed out enough to hold the column coupler in place.
Step 5: Place the top columns over the column couplers and gently tighten the grub screws to secure. Continue with Step 4 on page 3.
