Tips & Tricks
Washing Clothes
- Sort clothes by color, fabric type, and care label.
- Do not wash white and coloured clothes together.
- Some coloured garments may lose colour the first time they are washed. We recommend washing them separately for the first few washes.
- Fasten pillowcases, zip up zippers, and fasten hooks. Tie belts.
- Empty all pockets and turn garments inside out.
- Turn multi-layered fabrics, woollens, and printed garments inside out.
- Use special detergents for heavily soiled items. Pre-treat stains before washing.
- Do not wash garments with unfinished seams or cut edges. Use a laundry bag for small and/or very delicate garments (e.g., bras with underwires, belts, shapewear).
- Small wash loads can cause imbalance problems during the spin cycle. If this occurs, manually redistribute the laundry in the drum and restart the spin cycle.
Stubborn Stains
For some stains, water and detergent alone may not be sufficient. We recommend pre-treating these stains before placing them in the machine. Various stain removers are available. Use stain removers suitable for the type of stain and fabric.
Detergent and Additives
- Use only machine-specific detergents and additives: Powder detergent for all types of fabrics or for woollens up to 40°C, and liquid detergent for all types of fabrics or for woollens up to 40°C. Liquid detergent is best for low-temperature programs (up to 60°C).
- Do not mix different types of detergents.
- To help protect the environment, do not use more detergent than necessary.
- Follow the instructions on the detergent packaging.
- Use the correct product according to fabric type, colour, program temperature, and level of soiling.
- If your machine does not have a flip-open detergent dispenser, use a dosing ball (provided by the detergent manufacturer) for liquid detergent.
Environmental Care
Always start the wash program with the maximum allowed load.
Maintenance & Cleaning
⚠️ Please refer to the "Safety" chapter.
External Cleaning
Clean the machine with mild soapy water only. Dry the entire surface thoroughly.
Descaling
⚠️ Do not use methylated spirits, solvents, or chemical products.
If your water hardness is high or medium, we recommend using a descaling product for washing machines.
Cleaning Detergent Dispenser
Diagram showing steps to clean the detergent dispenser.
Maintenance Wash
If low-temperature programs are used, some detergent may remain in the drum. Run a maintenance wash periodically. Follow these steps:
- Remove all laundry from the drum.
- Select a cotton program at a high temperature and use a small amount of detergent.
Cleaning Inlet Hose and Drain Filter
Cleaning Inlet Hose and Valve Filter
Diagram showing steps to clean the inlet hose and valve filter.
Cleaning Drain Filter
ℹ️ Do not clean the drain filter if the water inside the machine is hot. Wait for it to cool down.
Diagram showing steps to clean the drain filter.
Frost Protection
If the machine is installed in a location where the temperature may drop below 0°C, drain the remaining water from the inlet hose and drain pump. ℹ️ You can also perform an emergency drain using this procedure.
- Turn off the water tap and disconnect the inlet hose.
- Disconnect the drain hose from the sink or drain outlet.
- Place the ends of the drain and inlet hoses in a container. Let the water flow out of the hoses.
- Set the "Drain" program and let it run until it finishes.
- Turn the program knob to "Stop" to switch off the machine.
- Unplug the washing machine's power cord.
⚠️ When you use the machine again, ensure the temperature is above 0°C. The manufacturer is not responsible for damage caused by low temperatures.
Troubleshooting
