Setting up Home Connect

Tip: Connect your appliance to a mobile device for convenient control via the Home Connect app.

1. Install the Home Connect app on your mobile device and follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Scan the QR code using the Home Connect app.

Overview of Water Hardness Settings

The following table provides an overview of selectable water hardness values. Country-specific units can be found in the instruction manual.

Setting the water softening system:

1. Press the power button.
2. To open basic settings, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. The display will show 'Hxx'.
3. Press the program selection button repeatedly until the correct water hardness is set.
4. To save the settings, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.

Adding Special Salt

To prevent damage to the appliance, add special salt to the dispenser only just before the program starts.

1. Unscrew the lid of the special salt dispenser and remove it.
2. On initial start-up: Fill the dispenser completely with water.
3. Add special salt to the dispenser. The water in the dispenser will be displaced and forced out. Never add detergent.
4. Replace the dispenser lid and turn to close.

Adding Rinse Aid

1. Press the catch on the lid of the rinse aid dispenser and lift it open.
2. Add rinse aid up to the maximum mark.
3. Close the rinse aid dispenser lid. The lid will click into position.

Adding Detergent

1. Add detergent to the dry detergent dispenser.
2. Close the lid of the detergent dispenser. The lid will click into position.

How to Use Your Appliance

1. Load the tableware: Only wash dishwasher-safe tableware. Remove large food remnants. Ensure the spray arms can rotate freely.
2. Add detergent.
3. Switch on the appliance.
4. Select the program.
5. Start the program.
6. Remove the tableware at the end of the program.
7. To cancel the program: Press and hold the reset button for approximately 4 seconds. The program will be cancelled and will end after about 1 minute.

Cleaning Filters

1. After each wash, check the filters for residue.
2. Turn the coarse filter anticlockwise and remove the filter system.
3. Pull down the micro filter to remove it.
4. Press the locking catches together and lift the coarse filter out.
5. Clean the filter elements under running water.
6. Reassemble the filter system.
7. Insert the filter system into the appliance and turn the coarse filter clockwise. Ensure the arrow markings align.

Cleaning Spray Arms

1. Unscrew the upper spray arms and pull down to remove.
2. Pull up the lower spray arm to remove.
3. Check the outlet nozzles on the spray arms for blockages under running water and remove any foreign bodies.
4. Insert the lower spray arm. The spray arm will click into position.
5. Insert the upper spray arms and screw them firmly in place.

Clean Wastewater Pump

1. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
2. Remove the filter system.
3. Scoop out any remaining water.
4. Pry off the pump cover using a spoon and grip it by the crosspiece.
5. Lift the pump cover inwards at an angle and remove it.
6. Remove any food remnants and foreign bodies from the impeller area.
7. Insert the pump cover and press down. The pump cover will click into position.
8. Install the filter system.
