Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Birdzout Bioacoustics MK2. These units are designed to deter pest birds by playing a range of biologically relevant deterrent sounds, targeting the problem species of birds.
Please read through the instructions in this user manual carefully before operating.

2. Safety Warnings Caution! The Birdzout Bioacoustics MK2 Unit is capable of producing sounds up to 120 decibels at 1 metre. Proper hearing protection must be worn if within 50 metres of the unit, when operating.

3. Installation Instructions
Determine the best mounting position for the Speaker unit. The unit is ideally positioned as close to the problem area as possible and mounted up a minimum of 2 metres above the height of the problem area.
Mount the speaker unit to the top of the mounting bracket using the M8 Bolts. (requires a 13mm socket or spanner)
Attach the mounting bracket to the side of a timber or metal post using suitable fasteners and ensuring there is no risk of the unit becoming unstable.
Connect the power adapter or battery lead kit and adapter cable to the speaker unit to power on the device. Attach the antenna
4. Programming Instructions 4.1. App Download Instructions Search Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS) for Birdzout. (or scan the QR Codes on the Back Page) Select and Install the Birdzout App.
4.2. Connecting App to Bioacoustics Unit
a) Ensure Bluetooth is switched on. b) Open the Birdzout App. c) Press "Birdzout Bioacoustics MK2". d) Press "Scan for Devices". e) Select "Birdzout Bioacoustics MK2" f) Enter the Access Pin Code (default is 0000)
If the unit currently has a timer set, it will display the current sound library and settings selected on the home page

4.3. Timer Setup
To access the timer setup function, press the "Setup" Button This will displace a list of 10 timers that are available to be set. Any timers that have been set previously are displayed as orange. If not set, display as grey.
To disable all previously set timers, press the "Disable All Timers" Button To reenable, press the "Enable All Timers" Button.

4.3.1. Timer On/Off Setting
Press the timer that is required to be set. To make the timer active, press the "timer active button to get the tick to appear Set the on time and off time, setting hours and minutes. Select the days of the week the timer is to be active for.
Set the volume using the slider. (set in increments of 2%)

4.3.2. Sound Library Selection
Press the sound library section to see the list of available sound libraries, and to select the libraries for that timer. Press the tick box beside the sound library name to select. Note that to see the individual sound file names within each sound library, press the arrow on the right to expand the list. Press the up arrow to collapse the list again.
4.3.3. Delay Settings
The unit will play through the sounds in the sound library in a random order, then there will be a delay interval where no sounds are played. Press the delay section to choose the delay interval.
4.3.4. Sound Library Settings
If more than 1 sound library is selected, adjust the "Days between library changes interval" slider to select how often the sound libraries will change onto the next selection.
