Product Description

The Hotpoint induction hob features a cooktop and a control panel.

Control Panel Components:

Pots and Pans

Only use pots and pans made from ferromagnetic material suitable for induction hobs. Look for the symbol on the bottom of the pot or use a magnet to check for magnetism. The base diameter and material can affect cooking performance.

Empty Pots or Pots with a Thin Base: Do not use empty pots or pans when the hob is on. The hob has a safety system that monitors temperature and activates "automatic off" if high temperatures are detected, which could damage the pot.

Minimum Diameter of Pot/Pan Base: To ensure proper function, the pot must cover one or more reference points on the hob surface and have a suitable minimum diameter.

First Time Use

Hob settings can be changed via the "Manage functions" display. You can adjust language, brightness, sound alerts, button tones, and hob power.

Daily Use

Switching the Hob On/Off

Press the on button for approximately 1 second until displays light up. The hob deactivates automatically after 30 seconds if no function is selected. Pressing any button for over 10 seconds also turns off the hob. To switch off, press the same button until displays go dark. Residual heat is indicated by an "H" until the zones cool down.

Selecting the Cooking Zone

Select the desired cooking zone from the left-hand display by pressing the corresponding pane. Unselected zones will show a light stripe.

Selecting the Flexible Area

The flexible area allows multiple cooking zones to be used as a single zone. To create one, select multiple panes or slide your finger across them. To divide a flexible area, press and hold the desired zone's pane for 3 seconds or use the "divide zone" button in the "Manage functions" display. If cooking zones are not covered by a pot within 30 seconds, a dense stripe appears, and the area can be reactivated with the "Add pot" command.

Activating/Deactivating Cooking Zones and Adjusting Power

  1. Switch on the hob. If a pot is in place, the hob detects it and suggests a zone.
  2. Place the pot on the hob, ensuring it covers reference points. Using the center position maximizes power.
  3. Select the cooking zone or flexible area from the left-hand display.
  4. Set the desired power level by sliding your finger across the touchscreen.

Note: Do not cover the display or slide touchscreen with accessories. If an object obstructs a display, a "CHECK TOUCH AREA" message appears. Remove the object. If the issue persists, disconnect and reconnect power. For zones near the control panel, keep pots within markings to prevent touchpad overheating. Use rear cooking zones for grilling or frying.

Active Cook

The Active Cook button provides access to special features: My Menu, Active Heat, and Total Flexi. Navigate and select options using the arrows [up-arrow] [down-arrow] and confirm with OK [check-mark]. Use the double arrow [left-arrow] to return to the previous menu.

My Menu

This function offers pre-set cooking programs for various foods. The hob guides you through heating, seasoning, and cooking stages. You can adjust power levels using the " + " and " - " buttons.

To activate My Menu:

  1. Press the "Active cook" button.
  2. Select "My Menu" and confirm.
  3. Select the food category and confirm.
  4. Select the cooking method and confirm.
  5. Select cooking conditions and confirm.
  6. Four cooking zones become available. Place pots, ensuring they cover at least two reference points (except for "Moka" mode, which allows one).
  7. Select the cooking zone on the left-hand display; an "A" will appear.
  8. Follow instructions on the right-hand display (e.g., "Add Oil"). Confirm at each stage.
  9. Adjust power as needed. Press "STOP" to turn off a zone or all zones.

Note: "My Menu" can be activated for up to 4 zones simultaneously, provided power settings allow. Zones cannot be combined into larger areas.

To cook traditionally with My Menu active: Select the desired cooking zone and set the power level as usual.

To activate Total Flexi:

  1. Place the pot in position.
  2. Press the "Active cook" button.
  3. Select "Total flexi" and confirm.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Important: Ensure cooking zones are off and residual heat indicators ("H") are not displayed before cleaning. Do not use abrasive sponges. Clean the hob after each use when cool. Immediately remove sugar or high-sugar content foods. Salt, sugar, and sand can scratch the glass. Use a soft cloth, absorbent kitchen paper, or a special hob cleaner. Liquid spills can cause pots to move. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.

Troubleshooting: Check electricity supply. If the hob cannot be turned off, disconnect from power. Consult the error code table for display messages.

ECO-DESIGN: Testing was conducted by selecting all cooking zones to form a single area or by using the Flexifull function.
