Washing Machine Installation Instructions
Warning! Before proceeding with installation, read the safety information in the User Manual.
Tools and Parts Required
The following tools and parts may be needed for installation:
- Wrench (10 mm)
- Wrench (30 mm)
- Gloves
- Spirit Level
- Various screws and fixings (as shown in diagrams)
Installation Steps
Step 1: Unpacking and Preparation
Carefully remove the washing machine from its packaging. Ensure all transit packaging, especially the drum support, is removed before installation. The diagram shows lifting the machine off its base and removing securing elements.
Step 2: Connecting the Drain Hose
Attach the drain hose to the back of the washing machine. Ensure a secure connection using the provided clips and fittings. The diagram shows the correct placement and securing of the hose.
Step 3: Securing the Water Inlet Hose
Connect the water inlet hose to the water supply. Use the appropriate wrench to tighten the connection. Ensure the hose is not kinked. The diagram illustrates connecting the hose and tightening it with a wrench.
Step 4: Installing the Water Inlet Hose Connector
Attach the appropriate connector to the water inlet hose. The diagram shows inserting a seal and securing the connector.
Step 5: Levelling the Machine
Ensure the washing machine is level. Adjust the feet as necessary to achieve a stable and level position. An uneven machine can cause excessive vibration and noise. The diagram shows using a spirit level and adjusting the feet.
Step 6: Connecting the Water Supply
Connect the water inlet hose to the water tap. Ensure the connection is secure and the hose is at an appropriate angle (between 20° and 45°). Avoid sharp bends. The diagram shows connecting the hose to a tap and indicates correct and incorrect angles.
Note on Water Pressure: The water pressure should be between 0.5 bar (0.05 MPa) and 10 bar (1.0 MPa).
Step 7a: Drain Hose Positioning (Sink)
Position the drain hose into a sink or suitable drain outlet. Ensure the hose is securely fixed to prevent it from falling out during the drain cycle. The diagram shows securing the hose with a tie and a correct placement into a sink.
Step 7c: Drain Hose Positioning (Floor Drain)
If using a floor drain, ensure the drain hose is inserted correctly and secured with a clamp. The diagram shows a wall bracket and a clamp for securing the hose.
Step 7d: Drain Hose Extension
If an extension hose is required, use a suitable connector and ensure the total length does not exceed the maximum recommended length. The diagram shows connecting an extension hose and the maximum allowed length.
Step 8: Final Checks
Double-check all connections, ensure the machine is level, and that there are no leaks. The diagram shows the electrical connection and the recommended height range for the drain hose (min. 600 mm, max. 1000 mm) and the total length of the drain hose system (approx. max. 4000 mm).
