1. Calibration & Gravity Compensation
1.1. Calibration
To enter calibration mode:
When the power is off, press the [power-key] while pressing the [H-key]. When 'G-CAL' is displayed, and then press the [enter-key]. This initiates the calibration mode.

1.2. Gravity compensation
To enter gravity compensation mode:
When the power is off, press the [power-key] while pressing the [H-key]. When 'G-CAL' is displayed, and then press the [H-key] again. This initiates the gravity compensation mode.

Note: If the GRAV1 value is the same as GRAV2, compensation is not required.
1.3. Check message
Code | Description |
---|---|
CH 03 | The resolution is set to be exceeded the limit 1/50,000. Check the resolution. |
CH 04 | The balance weight for span calibration is lower than 10%, or greater than 100% of the maximum capacity of the scale. The weight for span calibration should be within 10%~100% of the maximum capacity of the scale. |
CH 05 | Load cell output is too small or large at span calibration. Check the weight unit and load cell or calibrate with lower resolution. |
2. Wireless Pairing
How to enter the pairing mode:
- TCB crane scale: When the display is off, press the [power-key] while pressing the [H-key]. When "T=401" (Firmware version) is displayed, press the [H-key]. Then, "RFSET" is displayed.
- TD3000(2300)F wireless display: Press the [power-key] to power on and immediately press the [H-key]. And press the [H-key] again. Then, "RFSET" is displayed.
- TF-100 controller: When the display is off, press the [power-key] while pressing the [HOLD-key]. When "T=601" (Firmware version) is displayed, press the [3-key]. Then, "RFSET" is displayed.
- TF-400 controller: Press the [star-key] and [H-key] at the same time. And then, press the [H-key]. Then, "RFSET" is displayed.
- TF -200 wireless dongle: Press the [SET] KEY for 5 seconds with the power on that connected. Then, the green light is blinking.
Pairing:
When "RFSET" is displayed at both products, if you press the [enter-key] of TCB crane scale, pairing will finish.
[warning] Please check "END" message at both products. (IR -200: green light will be turn on)
If the ending message does not appear, please repeat the pairing.
3. Exploded View
The exploded view diagram illustrates the assembly of the TMT TCB Series Crane Scale. It shows the arrangement of various components, including the shackle, hook assembly, bolts, plates, PCB, load cell, battery pack, and adapter, across different capacity models (1ton, 3ton, 5ton, 10ton).

4. Firmware Update
Follow these steps to update the firmware:
- Install the 'MPLABX'.
- Run 'MPLAB X IDE'.
- Connect the PICkit3 to PC.
- Connect as shown in the picture below. Aligned the RED wire and arrow mark of PCB, and then combine them.
- The PCB diagram shows the connection points for the PICkit3 programmer. It highlights the alignment of the RED wire with the arrow mark on the PCB for correct connection.
- Select the HEX file (File – Import – Hex/ELF... (Prebuilt) File). Refer to the attached video for details.
- Prebuilt Filename: Bring up the HEX file
- Family: 16-bit MCUs (PIC24)
- Device: PIC24FJ64GA306
- Supported Debug Header: None
- Hardware Tool: PICkit3
- After the above setting, click NEXT, NEXT, Finish.
- Set the Project Properties (File – Project Properties). Refer to the attached video for details.
- Click PICkit3 in Categories.
- Option categories: Memories to Program.
- Preserve Program Memory: Select.
- Preserve Program Memory Start (hex): 0x0800.
- Preserve Program Memory End (hex): 0x1FFF.
- After the above setting, click Apply.
- Option categories: Power.
- Power target circuit from PICkit3: Select.
- After the above setting, click Apply, OK.
- Upgrade firmware. Refer to the attached video for details.
- Click the Make and Program Device icon.
- Confirm the complete message.
