Keeley HALO Andy Timmons Dual Echo Instruction Manual

Introduction

The Keeley HALO Andy Timmons Dual Echo is a modulated dual echo sound effect pedal, developed in collaboration with Andy Timmons. It offers a unique tape-style echo with modulation, saturation, and compression, providing stunning stereo and pristine sound quality. The pedal allows for programming and saving custom sounds as presets, with the ability to switch between two delay sides (A and B) on the fly. It includes various rhythmic delay options such as quarter note, dotted eighth, stereo rack mount analog delay, and vintage multi-head tape echo.

"At long last, I have my ultimate dual echo in a single pedal!" - Andy Timmons

Advanced Control

REMOTE SWITCHING: The two preset bypass switches can be controlled remotely using a TRS cable connected to the remote jack. The tip controls the B switch, and the ring toggles the A switch. The unit defaults to momentary switches but can be set to latching mode by holding the A bypass switch while applying power.

EXTERNAL TAP: Plugging a mono cable into the expression jack allows the use of an external switch for tap tempo control. Holding this switch also activates maximum feedback for the active delay.

Tap Tempo Mode

Control the time of the HALO's delay using Tap Tempo. Activate by pressing and holding the active side's stomp switch for 1 second. The bypass LED will flash the current tempo. Tap mode exits automatically after 5 seconds of inactivity or by pressing and holding the bypass switch for 1 second.

Infinite Hold

Freeze the HALO's sound with intuitive Maximum Feedback. Achieve Maximum Feedback by pressing and holding the stomp switch for the inactive preset. The feedback level returns to its previous level once the switch is released.

Trails or True Bypass

Trails can be activated/deactivated by holding down both stomp switches while connecting the 9V DC barrel connector. When trails are active, the HALO features a 'spillover' effect, allowing the previous side's effect to carry over when switching between Side A and Side B within a Preset Bank. Trails are engaged by default.

All Wet / Dry Mode

Dry signal can be toggled on and off by holding down the Side A stomp switch and the FDBK knob while connecting the 9V DC barrel connector.

Changing and Saving Presets

The HALO features a total of 4 Preset Banks.

Advancing Presets on the Fly
