OMRON NE-C28 Compressor Nebulizer
Instruction Manual
Apparatus Introduction
The OMRON NE-C28 Compressor Nebulizer is a medical device designed for efficient respiratory therapy. Key components of the main unit include:
- Power Button: To turn the device on and off.
- Air Filter Cover: Protects the air filter.
- Air Tube Connector: Where the air tube attaches to the compressor.
- Ventilation: Openings for air circulation.
- Power Cord: Connects the device to an electrical outlet.
The Nebulizer Kit (NEBKIT) is the part that converts liquid medication into a breathable aerosol. It consists of:
- Cap: Covers the nebulizer cup.
- Inhalation Inlet: Connects to the air tube.
- Inhalation Top: Part of the nebulizer cup assembly.
- Vaporiser Head: The component where nebulization occurs.
- Medicine Cup (Tanki Obat): Holds the liquid medication (capacity 2-7 ml).
- Nozzle: Directs the aerosol.
- Air Tube Connector: Connects to the air tube.
- Mouthpiece: For direct inhalation.
- Adult Mask: For inhalation via the face.
- Child Mask: A smaller mask for children.
Preparing the Nebulizer
- Connect the power cord to an electrical outlet. Ensure the device is in the OFF position.
- Remove the cap and inhalation top from the medicine cup.
- Remove the vaporiser head from the medicine cup.
- Add medication to the medicine cup (capacity 2-7 ml).
- Reinsert the vaporiser head into the medicine cup.
- Reattach the inhalation top to the medicine cup. Align the parts as shown and turn clockwise until it clicks.
- Attach the cap and either the mask, mouthpiece, or nosepiece to the nebulizer kit. If using an adult mask, the nebulizer kit cap is optional, but recommended if a large amount of aerosol is desired.
- Connect the air tube. Slightly twist the end of the air tube and connect it to the air tube connector on the compressor.
Performing Inhalation
- Hold the nebulizer kit as illustrated. Do not tilt the nebulizer kit more than 45 degrees, as medication may spill or the device may not function correctly. ?
- Turn on the device. When the compressor starts, nebulization begins, producing aerosol. Inhale the medication mist.
- After completion, turn off the device.
Maintenance and Storage
Clean the nebulizer parts after each use. Ensure the device is OFF and disconnected from the power outlet.
- Nebulizer kit, masks, mouthpiece, and nosepiece can be washed with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly with hot water and dry. The nebulizer kit should be replaced every 6 months of use.
- Clean the compressor and air tube with a soft cloth dampened with water and mild detergent.
- Ensure the device is sterilized after use. If heavily soiled, replace the unit.
- Use disinfectant, then wash with warm water and dry. Do not use benzene, thinner, or flammable chemicals.
- The main unit parts (excluding air tube, PVC mask, air filter, and air filter cover) can be boiled for 15-20 minutes.
- The vaporiser head must be cleaned after every use. Do not use brushes or needles for cleaning.
Removing Condensation from Air Tube
- Ensure the air tube is connected to the air tube connector on the compressor.
- Disconnect the nebulizer kit from the air tube.
- Turn on the compressor and run the air through the air tube to remove condensation/residual water.
Replacing Air Filter
If the air filter has changed color or has been used for more than 60 days, replace it with a new one.
- Pull off the air filter cover from the compressor.
- Use a pointed object, such as a toothpick, to remove the old filter and insert the new air filter. Reattach the filter cover to the main unit.
Notes
- Use only OMRON filters.
- Do not wash the filter. If it gets wet, replace it with a new one.
- The air filter has no specific front or back orientation.
- Periodically clean the filter cover. Do not boil it.
