4-Way Measurement Feature
The caliper supports four distinct measurement modes:
- Outside Measurement: Utilizes the main external jaws to measure the outer dimensions of an object.
- Inside Measurement: Uses the internal jaws to measure the inner dimensions of an object, such as the diameter of a hole.
- Step Measurement: Employs the step faces to measure the difference in height between two surfaces.
- Depth Measurement: Uses the depth rod to measure the depth of holes, slots, or steps.
Operating Instructions
When using the caliper for the first time or after a period of non-use, wipe the beam scale with a dry clean cloth to remove any condensation or oil deposits.
Prior to setting the caliper for measuring, first clean the measuring faces with a soft clean cloth or paper.
- Switch Caliper ON.
- Move caliper jaws together.
- Select the required measuring mode (Inch / Metric).
- The display will show zero, and the caliper is now ready for direct measurement.
The caliper can be zeroed at any position within its range, which allows for relative measurements.
Operating Care
- Clean measuring faces with a dry soft cloth.
- Keep the instrument away from strong magnetic fields.
- Prevent the ingress of oil or liquids into the electronics.
- Remove the battery if the instrument is not used for a long period of time.
- Do not disassemble or drop the instrument.
- Do not mark the instrument by engraving, etching, or any other permanent marking method, as this will invalidate the warranty.
