How to reset password

1. Reset password by SADP Tool

Tool: SADP Tool, version: V3.0.0.2

Download the latest version of SADP from: http://download.conceptronic.net/other/SADP_V3.0.0.20_2018-10.zip

Connect the device to your local network and open SADP Tool to search for online devices. Select the device and click Forget Password.

The SADP Tool interface displays a list of online devices. Key columns include Device Serial No., IPv4 Address, and Port. A panel titled "Modify Network Parameters" allows configuration of IP Address, Port, Subnet Mask, Gateway, and Admin Password, with options to Modify or initiate a Forgot Password process.

You might see one of three pop-ups:

• If the pop-up requires a security code, please turn to Method 1.
• If the pop-up requires an encrypt file, please turn to Method 2.
• If the pop-up requires an encrypt file or key, please turn to Method 3.

Method 1

Copy the Start Time and Device Serial No and send them to the Conceptronic technical support team. Please do not close the SADP tool before inputting the security code.

The SADP Tool interface shows device details including Start Time and Device Serial No. The "Modify Network Parameters" section includes fields like IP Address, Port, Subnet Mask, and Gateway.

Conceptronic technical support team will return security codes. Choose the appropriate code based on your device's current time. Example security codes are provided, such as '2015-11-27:RRrezeSezz'.

Input the security code into the "Security Code" field in the "Restore Default Password" pop-up and click Confirm. The password will be reset to 12345.

Method 2

Click Export to save the XML file, then send the XML file to the Conceptronic technical support team. Please do not close the SADP tool before inputting the encrypt file.

The "Reset Password" pop-up includes an Export button to download the key request file (XML) or capture a QR code. This file or QR code should be sent to technical engineers.

Conceptronic technical support team will return an encrypt file. Choose the path for the encrypt file, input your new password, and confirm by clicking Confirm. Your password will be reset.

Note: Once you receive the file, it will expire after 24 hours.

The second pop-up window allows you to Import File (with a file path shown, e.g., C:/Users/users@conceptronic.net/De), input a New Password, and Confirm Password, then click Confirm.

Method 3

With this method, you can export the XML file or take a photo of the QR code. If you export the XML file, refer to Method 2. You can also take a photo of the QR code and send it to Conceptronic technical support team. Please do not close the SADP tool before inputting the encrypt file or security codes.

The SADP tool can display a QR code image for sending to technical support.

Conceptronic technical support team will return a key consisting of numbers and letters (8 bytes). Input the key, type in the new password, and confirm by clicking Confirm. Your password will be reset.

The "Reset Password" pop-up has options to Input Key or Import File. Enter the key or file, then input and confirm the New Password. Click Confirm.

Note: If you want to reset your cameras' passwords at the same time, select the “Reset Network Cameras' Passwords” option. The cameras' passwords will match the NVR's.

2. Reset password via DVR local menu

In the DVR local GUI, you can double-click the bottom-left of the login interface to open the password reset interface.

The DVR login interface shows fields for User Name and Password, with Login, OK, and Cancel buttons. An arrow [pointer] indicates the login area.

Please send the Device Serial No and Device start time to the Conceptronic technical support team; they will return security codes.

Note: Refer to Method 1 to obtain the Device Serial No and Device start time.

Input the corresponding security code into the "Secure Code" field in the "Reset Password" pop-up and click OK.

The "Reset Password" pop-up displays the Serial No. (e.g., 1620140821BBRR477336813WCVU) and a "Secure Code" input field, with OK and Cancel buttons.

Input the user name and new password, then click OK.

The "Activation" pop-up allows setting the User Name, Create New P... (password), and Confirm New P... (password). It indicates password strength and provides a policy: 'Valid password range [8-16]. You can use a combination of numbers, lowercase, uppercase and special character for your password with at least two kinds of them contained.' Buttons are OK and Cancel.
