NTI Boilers
The NTI BMS Gateway BACnet™ serves as a crucial interface, connecting NTI TFTN series boilers to building management systems (BMS) that utilize the BACnet™ protocol. It supports both BACnet MS/TP and BACnet/IP communication protocols, facilitating seamless integration and control of boiler systems.
Installation must be performed by qualified and trained technicians, adhering to all applicable local and national electrical codes. The gateway requires an indoor, dry location with ambient temperatures between 0°C and 60°C. Essential for setup is a personal computer running Windows 10 or later, a web browser, and a CAT 5 or CAT 6 Ethernet patch cord. Strict adherence to safety warnings regarding electrical hazards and proper installation is paramount to prevent property damage, injury, or death.
The setup process involves initial procedures such as device discovery and initialization. Key steps include enabling external boiler control by configuring specific parameters (e.g., Control Mode 42.0.0) and selecting the appropriate BMS protocol (BACnet/IP or MS/TP) via the ProtoNode interface. Baud rate configuration is also detailed for MS/TP connections.
Troubleshooting guidance is primarily provided by referring to the ProtoNode FPC-N54 Start-up Guide. The operational status of the gateway and its components is confirmed by observing the activity of onboard LEDs, indicating successful communication and power status.
