Performance and Design
The VX-410/420 Series offers high performance with 5 Watts of power output, adjustable to 1 Watt for extended battery life. Channel spacing can be programmed per channel for 12.5/20/25 kHz. The radios feature excellent adjacent-channel selectivity and immunity from intermodulation, with TIA-compliant frequency stability.
The ergonomic construction ensures a solid grip, and the over-sized keys are easy to activate. The VX-420 model enhances usability with an 8-character alphanumeric display and illuminated keypad.
Advanced Features
These radios are equipped with built-in encryption for secure communications. They support advanced signaling like Dual 2-Tone and 5/6-Tone systems for seamless integration. The optional DVS-5 Voice Recorder Unit allows for recording up to 120 seconds of audio. Programming security features, including password protection and disabled cloning, are available.
The Radio-to-Radio Clone feature allows quick data copying between units using an optional cable.
