Doro 8200 Quick Start Guide

1. UNBOX YOUR NEW PHONE

Begin by unboxing your new Doro 8200 and checking all included items and equipment. Familiarize yourself with the device and its basic functions by reading this guide. For the full manual, visit www.doro.com/support/ or contact the Doro Helpline. Items supplied may vary by region or service provider. Supplied items are designed for this device and may not be compatible with other devices. Appearances and specifications are subject to change without prior notice. Additional accessories can be purchased from Doro retailers; ensure compatibility before purchase.

2. GETTING STARTED

Before using your new phone, you may need:

3. INSERT SIM CARD (NOT INCLUDED) AND MEMORY CARD (OPTIONAL AND NOT INCLUDED)

Use your fingernail or a similar object to gently pull out the SIM/memory card tray.

Place the SIM card into the correct tray slot, ensuring the contacts face downwards and the cut-off corner aligns as shown. Avoid scratching or bending the SIM card contacts. This device accepts only nano SIM cards (4FF). Using a modified or thicker card may damage the card, slot, and stored data.

Optionally, place a memory card in the tray with contacts facing downwards. Compatible card types include MicroSD, MicroSDHC, and MicroSDXC. Insert the SIM card tray back into its slot.

4. CHARGE YOUR PHONE

Your phone may have sufficient charge for initial use, but a full charge before first use is recommended.

CAUTION: Only use approved batteries, chargers, and accessories for this model. Using unapproved accessories may be dangerous and void the phone's type approval and warranty.

Connect the small end of the USB cable to the charging port on the phone and the other end to the wall charger plugged into a wall socket.

Navigation mode

You can choose your preferred navigation mode:

Note: The navigation mode cannot be changed later in settings. Apps can still be organized via drag and drop from the app drawer.

Consider recycling your previous product. Find more information under "Recycle".

5. TURN ON THE PHONE

Note: Installed applications may require updates upon first use, which needs an internet connection and may take a few minutes. Wi-Fi is preferable. The phone might seem slow during updates.

6. STARTUP GUIDE

The first time you turn on your phone, a Startup guide will launch. Follow the on-screen instructions to personalize your new phone.

You will be asked, "Is it your first time using a Smartphone?"

Optimize your phone during the startup guide by adjusting display and audio settings for your vision and hearing. Consider Doro ClearSound for optimized audio, especially for high-frequency hearing loss common after age 50.

7. THE ASSISTANCE BUTTON

The Assistance button (()) on the back of the phone provides quick access to contact predefined Responders (family and friends) in case of need. This function requires the "Response by Doro" app installed on the Responder's smartphone and a pre-established link. Refer to the full manual for setup details.

8. HARDWARE REBOOT

This device has an internal battery, so the hardware cannot be rebooted by removing the battery. If the device freezes or becomes unresponsive, press and hold the Power button and the Volume Up key simultaneously for over 10 seconds to initiate a reboot. The device will restart automatically.

9. HELP AND MORE SUPPORT

Access step-by-step tutorials by pressing "Help" to discover more phone features.
