Product Overview

The Y20 2X is a motorcycle Bluetooth intercom system designed for clear communication and audio playback. Key components and controls include:

  • Power On/Off Button / Play Pause Button / Answer Key: Multi-functional button for device power, music control, and call handling.
  • Volume Up / Next Track Button: Controls volume level and skips to the next track.
  • Volume Down / Previous Track Button: Controls volume level and skips to the previous track.
  • Charging Port: Type-C port for charging the device.
  • Charging Indicator Lamp: Red light indicates charging status.
  • Intercom Key: Used for initiating and managing intercom pairing and calls.
  • Intercom Indicator Lamp: Shows the status of the intercom connection.
  • Speaker/Microphone Interface: Connection point for the helmet speakers and microphone.

Power On/Off & Language Selection

Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn the device on or off. A power-on tone will be heard, and the LED indicator will flash.

Language Toggle: Double-click the power button to switch between Chinese and English voice prompts.

Bluetooth Disconnect: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn the device off, which also disconnects Bluetooth.

Music Features

When music is playing:

  • Short press the Volume Up button to play the next track.
  • Long press the Volume Up button to increase the volume.
  • Short press the Volume Down button to play the previous track.
  • Long press the Volume Down button to decrease the volume.
  • Short press the Power/Play/Pause button to play or pause the music.

Intercom Pairing & Communication

Initial Intercom Pairing:

  1. Ensure both units are powered on and not connected to Bluetooth.
  2. On one unit, short press the Intercom Key to enter intercom pairing mode. The LED indicator will flash rapidly.
  3. The units will attempt to pair. Upon successful pairing, the Intercom indicator light will remain solid green, and an audio prompt "Intercom connection" will be heard, followed by a "Dong" sound, indicating readiness for intercom calls.

Intercom Re-connection:

Previously paired units will automatically attempt to re-establish the intercom connection upon powering on. Alternatively, short-pressing the Intercom Key on one unit will initiate re-connection.

Intercom Reset (Factory Settings):

With the device powered on and not connected to Bluetooth or intercom, simultaneously press and hold both Volume Up and Volume Down buttons for 5 seconds. Release when a "Dong" sound is heard. This action restores factory settings and clears all pairing information.

Connecting to Third-Party Headsets:

Power on both Y20 units. Enter intercom mode on the Y20 unit. Power on the third-party Bluetooth headset and enter its Bluetooth pairing mode. Initiate connection between the Y20 and the headset. Successful connection will be indicated by an intercom connection prompt and a "Dong" sound.

Bluetooth Connection Status

Bluetooth Not Connected: The LED indicator flashes rapidly.

Bluetooth Connected: The LED indicator remains solid green.

Phone Features & Call Handling

When a call is incoming:

  • Short press the Power/Answer Key to answer the call.
  • Press and hold the Power/Answer Key for 2 seconds to reject the call.
  • Double-click the Power/Answer Key to toggle between manual and automatic answering (automatic answer occurs after 10 seconds).

During an active call:

  • Short press the Power/Answer Key to end the call.
  • Double-click the Power/Answer Key to redial the last number.

Intercom & Phone Call Transition:

When the device is in intercom mode and connected to a phone via Bluetooth, an incoming call will automatically switch the device to phone call mode. After the call ends, intercom mode will resume.

Voice Assistant Activation

To activate the device's voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant), short press the designated Voice Assistant key (often the Power/Play/Pause button) when Bluetooth is connected to a compatible phone.

Charging Mode

Charging: Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the device.

Indicator: The red charging indicator lamp is lit while the device is charging.

Automatic Shutdown: If the device is powered on when plugged in for charging, it will automatically shut down to facilitate charging.

Full Charge: The charging indicator lamp turns off once the device is fully charged.

Important Notice: Before installing the headphones onto your helmet, please follow the quick manual's instructions to connect your phone and test the audio output and volume levels. If you notice a significant difference in sound quality or volume after installation, adjust the position of the speakers within the helmet.
