First Time Use

Filling the Salt Reservoir

Using salt prevents limescale formation on dishes and machine components. The salt reservoir must never be empty. It is important to set the water hardness. The salt reservoir is located in the lower part of the dishwasher and must be filled when the Salt Refill indicator light [salt refill symbol] is lit.

  1. Remove the lower rack and unscrew the reservoir cap (anticlockwise).
  2. For the first use only: fill the salt reservoir with water.
  3. Position the funnel (as shown in the diagram) and fill the salt reservoir to the brim (approx. 1 kg). Some water may leak out.
  4. Remove the funnel and wipe any salt residue from the opening. Ensure the cap is screwed on tightly to prevent detergent from entering the container during the wash program, which could damage the water softener.

Whenever adding salt, complete the procedure before starting a wash cycle to avoid corrosion.

Diagram Description: Shows the lower rack being removed, the reservoir cap being unscrewed, a funnel being used to fill the reservoir, and the cap being tightened.

Water Softening System

The water softener automatically reduces water hardness, preventing scale buildup on the heater and improving cleaning efficiency. This system regenerates using salt, requiring the salt container to be refilled when empty. Regeneration frequency depends on the water hardness setting. A single regeneration consumes approximately 3.5L of water, adds up to 5 minutes to the cycle, and uses less than 0.005 kWh of energy.

Diagram Description: A diagram shows a water softener system with labels A, B, C, D, illustrating the process.

Filling the Rinse Aid Dispenser

Rinse aid helps dishes dry more easily. The rinse aid dispenser (labeled 'A' in diagrams) should be filled when the Rinse Aid Refill indicator light [rinse aid refill symbol] is lit. Never pour rinse aid directly into the appliance tub.

Diagram Description: Shows the rinse aid dispenser with a label 'A' and an opening mechanism 'C'.

Filling the Detergent Dispenser

To open the detergent dispenser, use the opening device (labeled 'C' in diagrams). Introduce detergent into the dry dispenser (labeled 'D' in diagrams) only. Place pre-wash detergent directly into the tub. If using all-in-one detergents, use the TABLET button [tablet symbol], which adjusts the program for optimal washing and drying. Using detergents not designed for dishwashers may cause malfunction or damage.

Diagram Description: Shows the detergent dispenser with opening device 'C' and dispenser compartment 'D'.
