The main difference between the MUV and FUV is that the MUV is equipped with a rear cargo area rather than a rear passenger seat. Otherwise, the operation of the MUV is identical to the FUV. The rear cargo area of the MUV can be equipped with one of three configuration packages (Carrier, Utility, and Cargo), described below. Additional Documentation Refer to the FUV Owner's Manual (available online at Arcimoto.com) for important safety information, vehicle specifications, operating instructions, and more. Read, understand, and follow all of the instructions and safety precautions in the FUV Owner's Manual and on all product labels. Failure to follow the safety precautions could result in serious injury or death. The specifications included in this supplement are specific to the three MUV vehicle configuration packages: Carrier, Utility, and Cargo. Carrier, Utility, and Cargo Packages l Carrier Package (standard): Features a flatbed cargo carrier with multiple mounting locations for (M8) eyebolts. The Carrier Package comes standard with the MUV. l Utility Package (optional): The standard Carrier Package, with removable Flatbed Side Rail Assy. l Cargo Package (optional): Features a removable enclosed cargo carrier with lockable side door, emergency door release latch, and interior light. The cargo carrier mounts to the flatbed cargo carrier. In all three configurations, the MUV provides multiple mounting locations for (M8) eyebolts. Carrier Package Specifications* Flatbed Cargo Carrier Dimensions: Width: 34" (86.4 cm) Length: 40" (101.6 cm) Deck Height: 27" (68.6 cm) Cargo Load Limit: Note: Cargo Load includes operator body weight, cargo weight, and the weight of any accessories in or on the MUV. GVWR = 1,800 lbs (816 kg) Curb Weight = 1,280 lbs (581 kg) Max Payload = 520 lbs (236 kg) Refer to the FUV Owner's Manual for details on determining the load limit. Included Accessories: 4 steel eyebolts (M8-1.25) Using the Carrier Package The flatbed cargo carrier provides ten mounting locations for M8-1.25 eyebolts: MUV Supplement to FUV Owner's Manual Eyebolts (four included) can be installed in any of these mounting locations. Note that there is one hole in the flatbed cargo carrier that should NOT be used with eyebolts, as indicated above 007823 (REV1 ) last revised: 7/24/2023 Simply screw the eyebolts into the mounting location holes. Make sure they are screwed all the way in and are tight before use. Use hooks, straps, and tie downs (not included) to ensure that cargo on the flatbed is secured before driving. Note that these mounting locations are available to use in all MUV configurations. Utility Package The Utility Package configuration features the Carrier Package flatbed cargo area, plus the (removable) Flatbed Side Rail Assy. The Flatbed Side Rail Assy includes left and right box sides and rear tailgate with mounting hardware. Removing the Flatbed Side Rail Assy CAUTION: The aluminum Side Rails and Tailgate have sharp corners and edges. The aluminum Side Rails and Tailgate are easily removed from the flatbed cargo carrier. This process requires a torque wrench with a 12mm socket. 1. Unlatch both sides of the tailgate and slide the tailgate straight up and out of the slots on the side rails. 2. Remove the two M8 bolts that secure each side rail to the frame of the MUV: Utility Package Specifications* Flatbed Cargo Carrier Dimensions: Width: 34" (86.4 cm) Length: 40" (101.6 cm) Deck Height: 27" (68.6 cm) Side Rails and Tailgate: Material: Aluminum Height when installed: 6.5" (16.5 cm) Cargo Load Limit: Note: Cargo Load includes operator body weight, cargo weight, and the weight of any accessories in or on the MUV. GVWR = 1,800 lbs (816 kg) Curb Weight = 1292 lbs (586 kg) Max Payload = 508 lbs (230 kg) Refer to the FUV Owner's Manual for details on determining the load limit. Included Accessories: 4 steel eyebolts (M8-1.25) 3. Slide each side rail straight up and out of the mounting holes on the flatbed. Re-Installing the Flatbed Side Rail Assy The aluminum Side Rails and hinged Tailgate are easily mounted on the flatbed cargo carrier via four bolts (two each side). This process requires a torque wrench with a 12mm socket. 1. Install both side rails: Slide the mounting posts on the rails into the mounting slots on each side of the flatbed. 2. On each side rail, align all three mounting posts with the matching slots on the flatbed. Slide the rail all the way down so that all three mounting posts are fully inserted. MUV Supplement to FUV Owner's Manual 007823 (REV1 ) last revised: 7/24/2023 3. Secure each side rail with two M8-1.25 mounting bolts. Torque bolts to 8 Ft-LBS. Cargo Package The Cargo Package configuration features a removable enclosed Cargo Carrier: Cargo Package Specifications* Cargo Carrier Dimensions: Height: 34" (86.4 cm) Width: 34" (86.4 cm) Depth: 40" (101.6 cm) Deck Height: 27" (68.6 cm) Cargo Load Limit: Note: Cargo Load includes operator body weight, cargo weight, and the weight of any accessories in or on the MUV.
