1. Product Profile
1.1. Introducing
The DOMYOS CONSOLE 3 is a mid-range console designed for fitness equipment. It connects via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol and can interface with companion apps on Android and iOS devices to enhance the user experience.
Console 3 Main Features:
- 5 LED Modules: Displaying RPM (pedaling cadence), KCAL (calories burnt), SPEED, TIME, DISTANCE, and HR (Heart Rate) information. Users can cycle through these values by pressing keys under the LED module.
- Heart Rate Zone Indicator: The heart logo changes color based on the user's heart rate zone relative to maximum heart rate (Fcmax):
- Blue: Heart rate < 60% Fcmax
- Green: 60% Fcmax ~ 69% Fcmax
- Yellow: 70% Fcmax ~ 79% Fcmax
- Orange: 80% Fcmax ~ 89% Fcmax
- Red: Heart rate >= 90% Fcmax
- Bluetooth Logo: Indicates Bluetooth status, controlled ON or OFF by the companion app.
- Workout Profile: A 5x7 dot matrix display for workout profiles.
- Resistance Level: Adjustable from 1 to 15.
- Touch Keys: 9 capacitive membrane keys, white in color.
- Receivers: One heart-rate receiver and one hand-pulse receiver (for DOMYOS CONSOLE 3 - B ENERGY models).
- Accessories: Includes one chest-belt. Two remote control cables are included for DOMYOS CONSOLE 3 "R" versions.
2. Standards of CONSOLE 3
- 2011/65/UE Directive "RoHs 2"
- REACH directive
- R&TTE directive
- Temperature Cycling Test:
- Low temperature: (-10 ± 2)°C for 10 min
- High temperature: (+60 ± 2)°C for 10 min
- Cycles: 50 Times
- Temperature Storage Test: +60°C for 24 consecutive hours
- ESD Test: Air: ±12KV, Contact: ±7KV
Reports are available internally.
3. USER-keyflow and Machine-Keyflow
User-keyflow is the primary interface for the end-customer. Functional tests include verifying display functionality, information value changes (Kcal, distance, time, rpm, BPM, resistance), heart logo color changes, touch key activation (<1 second), and servo-motor response for resistance adjustments.
Machine-keyflow is a maintenance menu used for diagnostics. It allows checking:
- Firmware version
- Hardware version
- Console total time of use
- Console total km of use
- Console serial number
Acceptance Criteria: Main functions operational, firmware and hardware versions correct, unit set to Km by default.

4.4. Main EE Components
Key components include AT42QT1040, BM70BLE01FC2, HT1632C, PIC24FJ128GA106, and ULN2804.
4.5. Hand-pulse Cables (Bike E-energy console reference)
Connector gender must be male. Testing involves placing hands on sensors, waiting for stabilization, and checking for fluctuations under +/- 10bpm over 30 seconds. Accuracy is noted as less precise than chest-belt monitoring, primarily for marketing purposes. Testing must be performed with the tablet holder in all four orientations.
4.6. Remote-control Cables (CONSOLE 3 BLACK R reference)
Includes 2-pin female jack (up resistance level) and 2-pin male jack (down resistance level) cables. Verification includes correct connector gender and functional testing of resistance level adjustment.
5. Mechanical Hardware
5.1. 2D Drawings of Consoles Parts and Assembly
Drawings available for: Console 3 assembly, front casing, PMMA, rear casing, rubber parts, and tablet hook.
5.2. Datasheet of the Plastic Parts
Datasheets for ABS (MSDS of ABS.pdf), Protection Film (MSDS of protection film_770NB.pdf), and TAIRILAC (datasheet_AG15E1_UL.pdf, datasheet_F204-0021 AG15E1_UL.pdf) are referenced.
5.3. Glues Datasheet
Specifications for glues used with PMMA and Rubber-pad are available (Glue specification for PMMA_English.pdf, 9495LE Specification.pdf).
5.4. Elastic Strap
2D drawing for the elastic strap used in the tablet holder hook system is referenced (Console 3 elastic rope length Model_mo).
5.5. PMMA Artwork and Cosmetic
Artwork files for PMMA cosmetic are available (CONSOLE 3 cosmetic.pdf, CONSOLE 3 - ARTWORK.pdf, CONSOLE 3 - ARTWORK - CN.pdf).
5.6. Protection Film Artwork
Artwork for the protection film is referenced (Console3-Protection FilmV1.pdf).
Cosmetic and Assembly Controls:
- Cosmetic: Checks for scratches on protection film and PMMA, absence of folds/tears, no glue traces on edges, no dust on casing, and correct PMMA printing.
- Assembly: Verifies correct casing clipping (<1mm air gap), PMMA stickness (e.g., 4 hours at 70°C), rubber stickness (<1mm air gap), and secure elastic strap attachment. The plastic hook should accommodate an iPad 10" in landscape. The elastic strap maximum length is 420mm (+/-5mm) with a 3.1Kg pulling force.
Acceptance Criteria: Subjective control, relying on Quality Production Label (QPL) requirements.
6. Traceability
Traceability stickers contain the console serial number in the format: CYBEECYYWwwxxxxx (e.g., CYBEEC15W1700013). The format indicates manufacturer (CY), product type (BEE for Bike E-Energy, BK for Bike, EL for Elliptical), region (C for China, E for Europe), production year (YY), week (Www), and sequence number (xxxxx).
Traceability Formats:
- DOMYOS CONSOLE 3 BLACK: CYBKECYYWwwxxxxx
