Braun BC10 Alarm Clock

This document provides instructions for the Braun BC10 alarm clock.

The alarm clock features:

  • 1. LCD display
  • 2. SNOOZE / LIGHT touch button
  • 3. ALARM ON / OFF slider
  • 4. TIME SETTING / NEUTRAL / ALARM SETTING switch
  • 5. + Key

  • 8. RESET key
  • 9. CALENDAR SETTING button
  • 10. BACKLIGHT ON / OFF switch

Battery Precautions

  • Do not use rechargeable batteries.
  • Use only new AA alkaline batteries of the same or equivalent type.
  • Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+/-).
  • Keep batteries away from children.
  • Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations. Do not dispose of them with household waste.
  • Avoid short-circuiting battery contacts.
  • Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period.
  • Replace batteries promptly when the low battery indicator appears.

Getting Started

  1. Remove the battery compartment cover.
  2. Insert 2 new AA batteries as indicated, observing polarity.
  3. Press the RESET key to initialize the clock. The display will activate after a few seconds.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover.

Setting the Time

  1. Slide the switch to the TIME SETTING position.
  2. Use the + or - keys to set the desired hour and minute. Press and hold to speed up the setting.
  3. Slide the switch to the NEUTRAL position to save settings and return to normal display.

Setting the Year, Date, and Month

  1. Press the CALENDAR SETTING button.
  2. Use the + or - keys to set the year, then press CALENDAR SETTING to confirm.
  3. Use the + or - keys to set the month, then press CALENDAR SETTING to confirm.
  4. Use the + or - keys to set the date, then press CALENDAR SETTING to confirm and exit.

Setting the Alarm

  1. Slide the switch to the ALARM SETTING position.
  2. Use the + or - keys to set the desired alarm time. Press and hold to speed up the setting.
  3. Slide the switch to the NEUTRAL position to save settings and return to normal display.

Using the Alarm and Snooze Function

  • Slide the ALARM ON / OFF slider up to activate the alarm. The alarm icon ? will appear on the display.
  • To silence the alarm and activate the snooze function, press the SNOOZE / LIGHT button. The alarm icon ? will flash.
  • To disable the alarm and snooze function, slide the ALARM ON / OFF slider down. The alarm icon ? will disappear.

Note: The snooze function will repeat the alarm every 5 minutes. The snooze function will only be deactivated when the ALARM ON / OFF slider is moved to the OFF position.

Setting the Night Light

  • Slide the BACKLIGHT switch to the ON position to enable the night light mode.
  • Slide the BACKLIGHT switch to the OFF position to disable the night light mode.

Note: Continuous use of the night light will significantly reduce battery life.

Guarantee

Braun offers a 2-year guarantee against material and workmanship defects, excluding batteries. The guarantee is valid in countries where the alarm clock is officially sold. Broken or cracked lens screens are not covered by the guarantee.
