Instructions on Remote Control Interface

Connect to Bluetooth: Click the Bluetooth icon [Bluetooth symbol] to search for LIMO_XXXXXX.

Interface elements:

  • Turn on/off the controller
  • Drive mode switch
  • Status indicator
  • Bluetooth signal strength
  • Speed indicator
  • Motion control (joystick)
  • Direction control (joystick)

Settings

Access the settings interface by clicking the settings icon [Gear symbol].

  • Language switch: Select between English and Simplified Chinese (简体).
  • Left stick sensitivity: Adjust sensitivity (default 100).
  • Right stick sensitivity: Adjust sensitivity (default 100).
  • Ackerman steering calibration: Calibrate steering by returning to center (0) and verifying.
  • Bluetooth: Manage Bluetooth connection.
  • Rename your device: Change the Bluetooth name (e.g., to 'Random'). Note: After clicking OK, the Bluetooth connection will be disconnected, and the LIMO needs to be restarted to reconnect.

Mode Switching through APP

  • Ackermann Mode: Manually switch via latches on the LIMO. The APP will automatically recognize the mode when latches are released.
  • Four-wheel differential Mode: Manually switch via latches on the LIMO. The APP will automatically recognize the mode when latches are inserted.
  • Mecanum Mode: Switch via the APP. Requires latches to be inserted and Mecanum wheels to be installed.

Drive Mode Switching

1. Switch to Ackermann mode (green light):

Release the latches on both sides and turn them 30 degrees clockwise so the longer line on the latches points to the front of the LIMO. The switch is successful when the LIMO indicator light turns green.

[Diagram: LIMO robot with arrows indicating the release and rotation of the side latches to switch to Ackermann mode. A close-up shows the latch mechanism with its alignment marks.]

2. Switch to four-wheel differential mode (yellow light):

Release the latches on both sides and turn them 30 degrees clockwise so the shorter line on the latches points to the front of the vehicle body. Fine-tune the tire angle to align the hole for latch insertion. The switch is successful when the LIMO indicator light turns yellow.

3. Switch to track mode (yellow light):

In four-wheel differential mode, attach the tracks to switch to tracked mode. It is recommended to attach tracks to the smaller rear wheels first. In tracked mode, lift the doors on both sides to prevent scratches.

4. Switch to Mecanum mode (blue light):

1. When latches are inserted, first remove hubcaps and tires, leaving only the hub motors.

2. Install the Mecanum wheels using the M3*5 screws provided. Switch to Mecanum mode via the APP. The switch is successful when the LIMO indicator light turns blue.

[Diagram: Steps for switching to Mecanum mode: 1. Removing hubcaps and tires from the LIMO. 2. Installing Mecanum wheels using M3*5 screws.]

Rubber Tire Installation

Note: Ensure each Mecanum wheel is installed at the correct angle as shown.

1. Align the screw holes in the middle of the rubber tire mounting gear and attach the tire.

2. Align the holes to install the hubcap and tighten the M3*12mm screws.
