How to Mount the Headlight
Universal Bracket Instructions
Open bracket by pulling the thumb lever down, then un-clip the thumb lever from the cam hook to open. Adjust the rubber strap length to fit the handlebar or seat post by moving the strap up or down the rungs located under the swivel light mount. Once the length of strap is adjusted for best fit, install around the handlebar or seat post by inserting the thumb lever into the cam hook, then rotate the thumb lever upwards towards the swivel mount to lock. If the light still moves on the bar, open the thumb lever and shorten the strap by moving the rubber strap up to the next rung.
Key components of the bracket system:
- Release Lever
- Horizontal Tension Screw
- Rungs (for strap adjustment)
- Thumb Lever
- Rubber Strap
Light Operation
Your new light has two different modes: solid beam and flashing.
To switch modes: Hold the power button for 2 seconds to switch between normal (solid) and flashing modes.
To turn off: Hold the power button for 1 second.
To turn on: Press and hold the on/off button for approximately 1 second.
To return to solid mode from flashing: Hold the power button for 1 second.
Visual representation of modes:
- Solid Beam (High, Medium, Low)
- Flashing Mode
Over Heat Protection
The overheat protection circuitry in your light ensures that it operates at safe temperatures to ensure a long life. Continued heat build-up is the biggest enemy of LEDs and causes lower lumen output and lifespan when operated too hot. Under proper operating conditions, your LED should last 50,000+ hours.
If the light gets too hot (due to inadequate airflow, mud, dirt, or steep inclines), the circuitry will automatically go into "Medium" mode. Once the airflow over the light has improved and the running temperature is reduced, the circuitry will switch the light back into the previous mode.
How to Charge Battery
Warning: Batteries can only be charged using a USB adapter with a 5V output or a USB port on a computer. Only charge batteries in a dry environment.
The light has smart charging technology which ensures longer battery life and will not overcharge.
Charge times depend on the light model being charged due to internal components inside the light.
Battery Indicators:
- Low Battery Indicator: Flashing Red (when battery is below 20%).
- Charging Indicator: Flashing Red (charging), Solid Blue (fully charged).
Charging Steps:
- Carefully open the rubber dust cover on the bottom side of the light, exposing the USB port.
- Insert the micro USB cord into the light's USB port.
- The charge indicator will start flashing red within seconds.
The light will automatically stop charging when a full charge is achieved, and the indicator light will turn solid blue. Remove the battery from the charger and reinsert the rubber pull tab into the USB port to keep out water and dirt.
You can expect 300-500 charging cycles from this rechargeable battery.
Runtimes are affected by ambient temperature (above 110°F or below 35°F). We suggest running in the medium or low power modes to extend run time.
Always store the battery with a full charge. If being stored for more than a month, recharge monthly.
Lock Mode
The light is set to lock mode at the factory.
To lock or unlock the light: Press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds when the light is off.
