Preparation
Preparing a Power Supply
Using the AC Adaptor
1. Connect the AC adaptor as shown in the illustration. This typically involves plugging the adaptor into the keyboard's power input jack and then into a wall outlet. Ensure you use only the AC adaptor specified for this Digital Keyboard.
Using Batteries
1. Open the battery compartment located on the bottom of the console.
2. Load six AA-size batteries into the compartment, observing the correct polarity.
3. Close the compartment securely.
4. Specify the battery type in the settings. Refer to the "Configuring Function Settings" section for details.

Basic Operation
[▶️ Power] button: Press to turn on power. Long-press to turn off power.
VOLUME knob: Rotate to adjust overall volume.
[HOME] button: Press to return to the Home screen. (Home Customization supported.)
[SURROUND] button: Press for a more expanded sound. (Disabled while headphones are connected.)
Dial: Rotate to change a displayed number or value.
Auto Power Off: Automatically turns off power after 30 minutes of non-use. (On, Off switchable)
Pedal: Sustains notes played while the pedal is depressed. Notes remain sustained as if keys are pressed until the pedal is released.
Touch Response: Pressing a key harder produces louder sound, while a softer key press produces softer sound.
Lighted Keys: Keyboard keys light when pressed, or to indicate melody notes during song playback. (On, Off switchable)
Microphone: Input voice is output by the instrument. Volume can be controlled using the knob on the back.
Playing with a Different Sound
To change the keyboard's high-range and low-range tones
1. Select a tone for the keyboard's high range using the [TONE] button and dial.
2. Select a tone for the keyboard's low range using the [TONE] button and dial.
To play with two layered tones
1. Select the first tone.
2. Select the tone you want to layer.
To play with Touch Response
1. Select the desired Touch Response setting: OFF, LIGHT, NORMAL, HEAVY.
OFF: No Touch Response.
LIGHT: Louder notes with lighter touch than NORMAL.
NORMAL: Normal Touch Response.
HEAVY: Louder notes require a heavier touch than NORMAL.
To play with sustain
1. Connect the pedal to the sustain [SUS] terminal.
2. Press the pedal to sustain notes.
Sounding the Metronome
1. Press the [METRONOME] button.
2. Enable the metronome.
3. Specify a beat value using the dial.
Changing the Tempo
1. Press the [TEMPO] button.
2. Adjust the tempo using the dial.
Playing a Song for Enjoyment or Play-along
To play the song
1. Press the [SONG] button.
2. Select the desired song using the dial.
3. Press the play button [▶️] to start playback.
To sound a count
Select COUNT: A count sounds throughout song playback.
Select PRECOUNT: A count sounds at the beginning of the song, before actual playback starts.
To practice a particular part
Select RIGHT OFF: Right-hand part muted for right-hand practice.
Select LEFT OFF: Left-hand part muted for left-hand practice.
Select BOTH OFF: Both-hand parts muted for both-hand practice.
Using a Lesson to Master Song Play
To play using the Easy Mode
1. Select the song you want to learn.
2. Select the lesson part: RIGHT, LEFT, or BOTH.
3. Use the lesson functions: LISTEN, WATCH, REMEMBER.
LISTEN: Listen to the example until you remember the song.
WATCH: Play while watching the keys that light.
REMEMBER: Play without keyboard lighting.
To use the Challenge Mode to check your results
1. Select CHALLENGE mode.
2. Play the song.
3. Check your results.
To loop a section between points A and B
1. Set point A.
2. Set point B.
3. Press the [AB] button to loop the section.
Recording Your Performance
1. Play what you want to record.
2. Press the record button [▶️]. This starts recording.
3. Stop recording.
4. Playback your recording.
Configuring Function Settings
1. Display SETTING.
2. Select a function.
3. Change the setting value.
To initialize a setting:
1. Select "All Initialize".
2. Confirm initialization. This causes a re-start.

To select a rhythm
1. Choose a Category (e.g., POPS, ROCK, JAZZ).
2. Select a rhythm number within the category.

To play a rhythm
1. Start the rhythm.
2. Change the pattern (e.g., V1, V2).
3. Insert an intro ([INTRO]).
4. Insert a fill-in ([FILL]).
5. Insert an ending ([ENDING]).
To sound the accompaniment pattern with chords
1. Start the rhythm.
2. Press the [AC] button.
3. Use the chord input keyboard to play chords.
To start rhythm play as soon as you play a chord
1. Press the [SYN.ST] button.
2. Press the [ACCMP] button to display AC.
3. Play a chord on the accompaniment keyboard.
