INTRODUCTION General Overview The LightCasterTM CRMX GOAT is a high-performance wireless DMX transceiver designed for reliable operation across a wide range of professional lighting environments. Using advanced CRMX® technology, this device ensures seamless DMX and RDM communication over long distances with ultra-low latency and exceptional signal stability. Its compact and durable design, combined with a 1,000-meter range, makes it a dependable choice for both small and large-scale productions. Setting up a CRMX wireless system is simple and provides highly reliable wireless DMX. This unit works as either a receiver or transmitter. OPERATION Antenna Status LEDs Mode (Blue = TX, Red = RX) Signal Strength Meter Function (Bah!) Before You Begin 1. Decide whether each unit will act as a Transmitter (TX) or Receiver (RX) by pressing the Mode (TX/RX) button to toggle the mode. 2. For a Transmitter, you will need to connect a DMX controller to the DMX input, and for Receivers connect the unit's DMX output to the receiving fixture's input. 3. Check the LINK Status LED on the Receiver. If it is on, the Receiver is already paired with a Transmitter. Unpair it before pairing with a new Transmitter (see below). Pairing Process 1. Ensure the Receiver is set to RX mode and the Transmitter is set to TX mode. 2. On the Transmitter, press the Function (Bah!) button. 3. The LINK LEDs on the Transmitter and Receiver(s) will flash rapidly during pairing. 4. Once pairing is complete, the LINK status LEDs on all units will remain solidly lit. Unpairing A Single Receiver 1. On the Receiver, press and hold the Function (Bah!) button for 6 seconds. 2. The LINK status LED on the Receiver will turn off, indicating it is disconnected. Unpairing All Receivers 1. On the Transmitter, press and hold the Function (Bah!) button for 6 seconds. 2. The LINK status LEDs on all paired Receivers will turn off to indicate disconnection.
